The massive sodding icons they put in the top instead of the perfectly fine smallish-medium buttons they were using before (and LibreOffice still uses). That Ribbon.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

EDIT:
Just spend the next two weeks telling him everything he is interested in is shit (including Minecraft), and when he starts getting tired of it, feed him the same logic he's been giving you. The more absurd you can make your judgment, the better.
if you met him, you'd know that wouldn't work.

Its not supposed to work, it's supposed to frustrate him a bit and be sweet revenge. Man you're totally missing the point here. That would frustrate anyone, right?
problem is, he's
A) good at ignoring things
B) stronger than me, and when I annoy him, he has a habit of punching me.

brotherly love...

Ah, you must be the younger brother. No idea where I came away with the impression you were the older one. (Maybe it's because you seem smarter?)

Do what I did to get revenge on my older brother. Steal shit you have no intention of using and hide it in random places around the house. It won't make him play DF or appreciate things more, but it is delicious revenge with a dash of plausible deniability.

...But I like those buttons. :|

It looks clean and advanced.

It does. But I need to be able to see what I'm writing more than I need to see what I can do to my writing. It just doesn't fit in Office to me. In AutoCAD (since my ighschool had a class for that and it looked interesting), it was quite more useful, becuase I needed multiple things  besides keyboard keys and it was well organized there.

THe ribbon hides keyboard short cuts so that you do not remember them from using menu's. the ribbons groupings are often illogical and all you have to go on is some half assed icon rather than a human intelligible word. Common features you need are often obscured behind a layer of bs. And uncommon features you normally can find by looking through the menu's are impossible to locate.

The ribbon is the largest clusterfuck in UI design in human history. I would rather use a row of switches and blinking lights than the damned ribbon.

Office uses the ribbon. It is the devil.

Just wait until Microsoft Office® uses 'Metro' style UI, like Windows Phone™.

(posting from my office at a large company in Redmond)

Huh.  I wonder what building you're in.

Raged at Facebook's IPO today.

Deleted my Facebook today, as I am tired of that bastard making money off everyone's identity and I'm not taking part in it anymore.

After a delayed opening, shares of Facebook began trading around 11:30 a.m., at $42.05. But shares in the company fell soon afterward, repeatedly testing the offering price as a floor.

Buying by Facebook’s army of bankers appears to have kept the stock from falling even further, and by mid-afternoon shares had climbed back to about $41.06.

Seems similar to some tactics taken by the mega-rich in the 1920s, leading to super overinflated stock prices, doesn't it?

Sunburn. I am horribly, lobster red sunburnt. On Sunday, I have to wear a suit and tie for four hours to watch my brother graduate. Fuck you day-star, we aren't friends anymore.

It could be worse. Full business formal (Suit and all) outside in San Antonio, Texas during the end of June/beginning of July. At least I won't be sunburnt. I hope.
