I was going to do a GUI update to remove/change some buttons, but that may have to wait (or maybe I will take a couple more hours to do that).
If I remember, I should at least remove the Economy button and the Exotics button, right?

Yeah, since the econmoy never activates anyway, and the new training makes the Exotics button obsolete.  If you're going to add buttons, I'd suggest at least one that toggles which labors immigrants have activated when they first come to the fort.
I must have variable ground tiles! (as an option, so as to disable them)

Err.
Post suggestions on buttons to remove and to add. READ EVERYTHING THAT WAS SAID BEFORE to not double-post it.
Format:

Code: [Select]
Suggestion
+ Varied ground tiles
+whatever
- Economy
- Exotics

YES! Lazy Newb Pack is alive! and updated! thank you!
Agreement.
Job management without theRapist is a major pain.

You could of just downloaded it from the DT thread, it was working in 34.11 the day it came out.
Really? I kept getting "I don't know how to talk to this version of DF" error messages...
Maybe my DF install was corrupt somehow. ??? Oh well, removing old installs and setting up LNP from scratch, that ought to fix it.

Certainly you could argue that DF is a lot like The Sims, only... you know... with more vomit and decapitation.
If you launch a wooden mine cart towards the ocean at a sufficient speed, you can have your entire dwarf sail away in an ark.

Is there any way that mayday's graphic set from 34.10 can be used with this?

IMO, Lazy Newb Pack should include optional mod to reduce the amount of tree types, body parts and clothing, to increase FPS on slow computers.
Like what Masterwork does.
YES.
Please.
Can you do It, Lucas?

It could be another dedicated tab, labeled "optimization" or something similar. I can do a list of what masterworkDF does in that regard, if you want.

Fixed it on mine.  And this Therapist Lucas bundles rocks, it has the role tab, and the animal tab.
*thumbs way up*  I also love sticking dwarfs in squads, via Therapist.  So, so much nicer than searching that unalphabatized list in the games military candidates menu.  Hoorah!  Knutor

I cannot stress enough how amazing it would be for LNP to include this.

I could be wrong.  What would you call it when you spend that much time obsessing over something that it turns out you don't even like?

This would be amazing. Or barring that, maybe someone with a bit more DF-knowledge giving some tips on how to implement it myself, after setting other options in LNP?

I see absolutely no reason for this.
This isn't Get Dwarf Fortress To Run On My Really Old PC Pack. :9

And I do see many reasons why it would be detrimental, the least of which is that it makes the game seem more simple than it really is, to the newbs.
