SUDDENLY! AN UPDATE!
V10.0:
-Dwarf Fortress v0.34.02 Windows SDL w/Sound

-Phoebus Graphics 34.02v01
-Mayday's Graphics 34.02a
-Ironhand's Graphics 0.62 temp

-Dwarf Therapist 0.6.12
-DFInit Utility 1.53
-SoundSense r32
-Quickfort v2.03
-Chromafort 4/25
-New Embark Profile: DFVIDTUTS2012

EDIT: @Torr
Thanks for your very specific and useful suggestions! I can't promise those kinds of updates any time soon, but you've made some good cases to include more options. One thing for now, are you aware of the "Init File Editor" built in to LNP? The button right next to "Play Dwarf Fortress!". Very useful when you want to change the rest of the options. Also the utility "DFInit.exe" might be useful if it works on your machine, although it doesn't have the newer options built in.

EDIT 2: I forgot to do the Large Adress Aware patch, but it doesn't speed up the game, just potentially helps stop crashing. I may do it for next update.

Definitely do the address aware thing next update! May not speed things up and it may not be necessary but I imagine most people have more than 2 gigs of RAM...would be good to utilize it!

Hi,

First, thanks for the update, always love this pack. :)

Having a problem using phoebus' tileset, though: When I go to start the game, I get the error dialog 'Image not found - Not found: data/art/mouse.png'.

I've copied this over from my non-LNP pack of phoebus, and it seems fine, but I thought I'd better let you know it's missing in the download.

I tried following the directions to copy old save games over but all I get when I open DF up the new version is "Create New World". I went through and installed graphics pack and updated save games but that didn't help.

I had this as well with phoebus and mayday. Ironhand works fine.

The mouse image is actually missing from the pack Phoebus put out, not a LNP mistake. I had to copy that in as well, when I downloaded their pack and installed it on my copy of df.

That being said, awesome. Gunna download it now and copy over my save folder :D

EDIT: just saw you said you copied from non LPN to get it... Thier new one, or Thier old one? Cuz the new one was missing it when I downloaded it.

Is it because light travels faster than sound,
that people appear bright until you hear them speak?

Hmm, it seems like the mouse is in the Pheobus pre-installed package, just not the standalone (which normally is fine). The mouse.png is the exact same for every pack.
A fix is incoming! Along with the Address Aware patch..

Are you saving the new LNP GUI for later?

Re: Lazy Newb Pack [0.34.02] [V10.1] A WILD UPDATE APPEARS! Phoebus fixed!
« Reply #1284 on: February 21, 2012, 02:09:05 am »

V10.1
Fixed: Phoebus Graphics no longer missing mouse.png
Added: Large Address Aware patcher (In Dwarf Fortress Directory)
-Lets DF use more ram. Solves some crashing. Only use if you have more then 2GB of ram)
-Run "Large Address Aware.exe", browse for and select Dwarf Fortress.exe, check the checkmark, and click save.

Notes: I didn't LAA patch Dwarf Fortress.exe by default because apparently it should only be done if you actually have MORE THAN 2GB of ram. Its easy to do yourself, so I included the patcher.

Are you saving the new LNP GUI for later?
Its not close to being done as far as I know

I would really like to know why there's always these warnings popping up whenever I choose one of the custom embark profiles that come with the pack.
