Hey could you possibly update the Pack with Ironhands new graphics?

He recently released the remaining dwarves and various other things! Thanks

I may not be able to right away, but I'll try to do it soon.
But also you can do it yourself just by putting the new version in

First, Lucas, thank you for your work on this lovely pack.  I wouldn't be have been able to get started without it, and neither would any of the friends I've badgered into playing.

I have been having an issue lately, though, where sometimes on startup the settings aren't saved, and I just tried to make a new world only to find the settings I had just applied before starting DF didn't get used, things like exotics and liquid depth.  Is this something I am doing wrong?

I'm really not sure, occasionally people report settings not being changed properly, but I've never seen it myself. If you open up the GUI again, does it show you that the settings have been changed?

I haven't tested it well, though I if it happens again.  I've just been changing it back to what I wanted and then starting.

(Thank you for the quick response, as well)

those "false positives" in the pack, stopped my antivirus from updating and disabled it's protection

it was only after a scan and the deletion of these trojans was my antivirus able to update sucessfully

it would be a good idea to fix these problems for your next update, because these aren't false positives, they're trojans and they almost broke my system.

If true, it would suggest bad things for DFHack, but I have yet to hear of anyone else who was actually negatively afflicted by it. Are you sure it was DFHack which did it? Which files specifically did you identify as Trojans? Regardless, I'll look into it, I may just exclude DFHack and let those who want to use it to download it separately.

EDIT: Note that DFHack is Open Source, which makes it more trustworthy in my mind

It is also possible files were infected by a real, but foreign, Trojan

Also possible troll.
And yes, it's an open-source project, i've looked at the code myself sometimes.
Very likely that it was different software.

can you make it so that the batch files (namely for DFhack) show up in the "utilities" list? It's annyoing having to have the actual folder open to use all the programs and kind of defeats the point of having a utilities list aswell (theres no point in a utilities list if it dosen't list all of the utilities). It would be very much apreciated. Also, the thing about removing the useless "Economy" button from the interface? Also, I would recommend adding to the "liquid depth" buttons description, so it says what it actually dose (while it's obvious to anyone thats played with the settings, it isn't clear initialy).

economy button is planned, dfhack should have its own "launcher", right? been a while since I've played with it...
as for liquid depths, i'll change that :P

I'm with a problem: I can't run the stonesense in the menu utilities of the Lazy Newb Pack, I run it, but it doens't appear and nothing happens. I need of the NET Framework installed to work? or is another thing?
