10/13/2010: Diversified the dwarf mode troubles a bit, he he he. I should be back to postable stuff after today.

I can't wait for the next version too, but I stopped making false promises to myself. I feel more joy when I don't expect a new version and it comes out, than when I expect it every day and it doesn't .

I've been occasionally changing random things the last hour or so. 
But does anyone spot the minor differences?

TBH I haven't been "looking forward" for DF releases. Minecraft has distracted the obsession part of my brain.
But I am looking forward for a version with completely unbuggy & nice TTF and with better graphical support.

Also how do I do that? Launch LNP and then just paste my old save folder over the new one right?

You don't need to "Launch" LNP as much as just extract it. But otherwise yes.

Help: Move savegames to a new version
Saves are located here: "DF\data\save"
1) Copy your save folder over to the NEW VERSION.
Your save games still contain old raw and graphic files.
2) Run "df_savegame_updater.bat" in your NEW DF folder.
This will copy "DF\raw" to ALL YOUR SAVES ("DF\data\saves\region#\raw")

Weird. You'll have to redownload yourself. I think I've been having consistant problems with the file name lengths in that folder for some reason.

So I'm going to extract the new LNP (which will create a new .16 folder), copy-paste the old "DF\data\save" folder in it, then run the df_savegame_updater.bat in the new folder. Ok got it.

if i had aquifers turned off before downloading the new version, can i remove them again without starting a new save, or do i not have to remove them again if the save already had them removed?

Aquifers are generated and linked to each specific world.
If you generate a world with aquifers disabled, that world will never have aquifers, even if you change the raw files.
Same if you have aquifers enabled and try to disable them. The world will ALWAYS have aquifers.

You will only get aquifers If you turn aquifers on and then generate a NEW world.
