About half of what I want to do can't be done from the LNP.  I don't consider it a bad thing to know how to sift through the init files and change things yourself.  Inconvenient, yes, but DF clearly isn't meant for convenience.

Just wanted to say thanks for releasing this Lazy Newb Pack, there is no way I could have played DF without it and all it's glorious features.

How exactly does the "No Aquifer" option work? Does it only apply to newly generated worlds? New embarks? Or can it even change current fortresses aquifers?

I just hate them and I'm tired of running into them in like 90% of my worlds. :(

Also, development is REALLY slow now since I am strained on time and I think Lucas is as well. :/

 Does anyone remember the requirements for version 9.1. just reformatted the hard drive, and now the GUI is getting an error when i try to open it.

I think there should be a KOBOLDS: YES/NO option. It adds the tag [NO_EAT] to Kobolds if on yes, removes it if on no. Make it note that it will remove mods from the creature_standard file if you change it. It should be defaulted on off. As for a mouse-over text, "This makes it so Kobolds don't forget how to eat on year 4." or something like that.

Great pack, but the tutorial from fogey is odd. I am just now starting in DF and have had a few issues following his tutorial. While I was following from video to video my dwarfs ran out of liquid and started dying, I lost 2 dwarfs. However I gained 40 through migration waves, and now apparently am not able to feed them all as I keep getting a red message saying I am out of food from the two farm plots I put down. I am up to 50 or so dwarfs by his 10th video which shows setting up defenses, should that not start until after I can supply my current population with food? He also never showed how to populate his second plot of farm land which I just went ahead and did plump helmets as he stated that for the first farm but never did complete the second.

At one point I ran out of drinks as well and two dwarfs died due to dehydration, which I had to learn on my own how to get rid of their corpses via coffins and the extra building needed for it.

Currently I am low on food, and drink. But this tutorial never even showed to build a still workshop or how to designate water.

As for Cpt Duck's tutorials I would have followed them, but I cannot understand his accent very well and he talks so fast I am unable to keep up(even with what he is doing on-screen). Just some suggestions, not trying to offend anyone here. Hopefully someone can make a good tutorial without either being to overwhelming which seems the case in both for me, however I was patient enough to keep rewinding parts to learn(some took over 5 times I had to rewind to figure out).

MOST OF ALL WHY IS THE LAZY PACK NOT STICKIED MODS(760 - 40 for sticking) Most new players such as myself had no clue about this pack until linked by a random video. This game needs to be easier to get into it)!?!?

I could try making one for a new LNP, I had some things going in the works for a while but haven't had time to really do it...
(plus I've been sucked into N@W.... but that's another story...)
