in my dream, I ask the universe itself for all secrets of explosive materiales, how to make them and how to handle them... if i don't get answers I try to wake up and hold the thief and ask the policeman for a reward.

It's appropriate then that I want the dagger more than I want to stop the thief.  :)

I need a light weapon to enchant!

Hey cool! I'll be following this thread, fun to see how you guys will fare in the treacherous Multiworld.

To OP: Great to see you following in Sean's footsteps, starting an extensive writing project as a non-English speaker. One minor grammar nitpick though: I'm fairly sure commas are never used with the word 'that'. It's not a big thing, but it makes my mind's reader voice stop awkwardly mid-sentence.  :P

I'm sure every aspect of this game will only get better as it progresses. Keep up the good work!

P.S.
Tailor some sets of pants into a nice suit with top-hat.
Haha, thanks for the hat tip.

Turn 6

Quote from: Frelock
Thief coming?  Roundhouse KICK!
| You block the way of the thief. You can see the look of horror on his face, just before you hit him with your karate kick. | He tries to jump over you at the last second but your kick hits him | right in the chest, stopping him dead. | He loses the grip of his dagger and falls flat on the pavement, stunned from the impact.

Quote from: Toaster
I trip the thief and take his dagger.
| Before you manage to trip the thief, Frelock already took care of him through his sheer awesomeness.

Quote from: Ochita
Take the thief down from behind!
| You are pondering your options: kicking him in the knees or grab his jacket as he passes you or just tripping him over. When you are done you see that Frelock already dealt with the situation.

Quote from: Paranatural
Find some armor, and weapons.
| The only weapons and armor you see, currently belong to the city watchman who approaches you a bit slower now, seeing that his target will not run anywhere for the moment.

Quote from: maxicaxi
develop psi blades
| With a strong mental image in your mind, you concentrate on manifesting blades from your arms that are made from pure energy. You try hard, but nothing happens.

Quote from: Nimitz
I need to find a god damn shirt or jacket. Hopefully, there's a clothing store nearby.
| You figure that your best bet on aquiring clothes would be the main street, so you stand up and go there. You find an armor shop, an alchemy store, a bakery and finally, a clothing shop, but suddenly you realize that you don't have money to buy anything.

Quote from: jozilla
in my dream, I ask the universe itself for all secrets of explosive materiales, how to make them and how to handle them...
| You have a strange dream. Explosions and fire rip apart a lush landscape around you along with all inhabitants - mostly sheep. You wake up, but know nothing more about handling explosives than before. However, you do sure know how to MAKE them. You need saltpeter, sulfur and granulated charcoal. All of which should be available, if you come across an alchemy store.

Quote from: nuker w
Do SCOTTISH BREAK DANCING..... And use my kilt as the collecter item
| Annoyed by the meager yield, you decide to try a different spot. There is a steel bridge nearby, passing over a small river, with a surface not less hard but a lot more flat. You place your kilt in front of you and reperform the breakdancing scotsman. | This time more people notice you, although they seem to be in even more of a hurry now. You collect 3 copper and 2 silver coins.

Quote from: wolfchild
i try to gain controll of the regeneration
| You calm down and try to gain control over yourself and your regenerative ability. You partly succed. The magnitude of each regeneration roll is reduced by 1. | Your tail grows further and soon reaches a length that even a giant rat would envy you. | Also your legs grow and now you are a foot higher than the others.

===

NPC actions:

Quote from: watchman
| He approaches you and cuffs the thief to a chain on his belt. He says: "Thank you strangers." He looks at you for a moment then says: "You must be new in this city. One must be really careful not to get robbed of even the very clothes one wears. Please follow me to the city watch, the Hammerites put a bounty of 40 silver on every thief caught red-handed. You earned it. It will not be sufficient for fancy clothing, but it will suffice to compensate your loss at least a little bit." He picks up the purse, then turns around and leads the way back onto the main street. | Fortunately he neither spots wolfchild's altered physique nor his new appendage.

Quote from: thief
| He struggles to get up, but the watchman is quicker. He lets go of the purse and resigns.

Environment: A medieval steampunk city. It is late evening, the sun sets and the streets are getting dark.

World rules:
+2 to sneaking. (can be negated by type of surface)
+2 to hiding. (can be negated by lightsources)
+2 to attacks when the victim is unaware of your presence.
Fumbling a cooperation action will never cause both participants to be spotted.

=====

Locations:
Side street: A small street branching out from the main street. The walls of the neighboring houses are made from rough stone, reinforced by steel girders. Your exit is here. A small dagger lies on the floor.
Main street: A busy market street, crowded with people, goods and wagons. There are several shops here: An armor shop, a clothing store, a bakery, an alchemy store and possibly more.

=====

Background: [3] As the sun disappeares behind the horizon, six strikes of a bell can be heard coming from the cathedral. At the same time, a couple of street lights that went unnoticed so far all light up at the same time, emmitting a cold white light that draws groteque shadows over the fronts of the buldings. Within two minutes most of the people on the main street quickly disappear into their houses, some run past you into the side street but hardly anyone notices you. Only the city watch remains and patrols the streets.

develop psi blades

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

and psi blade watchman/soldier/enforcer/paladin/whatever in the face

edit ftw

Whoops, forgot something in the background roll. You might want to hold of your psi blading action for a while, or you have a good chance to get metal bladed in the face yourself. At least wait until he paid out the bounty.

Edit: I'll roll for the blade part, but not for the cutting part, if thats ok?

I'll follow the guard at a distance, practicing parkour as I go.

I think it's pretty obvious we're after the Eye here.  We should work our way to the cathedral.
