Turn 14: Great way to start a battle.

(Roadviper)
Since that I have nothing better to do I attempt to modify my pistol
(Next time specify how you want it modified.)

[6]: You modify your pistol. By (somehow) cutting bits of metal off the sides, and re-using the metal in other places. In total, you added a bayonet of some sort, made it easier to change clips, and made the pistol fragile as hell.

Trained engineering [1/12].

(Captain Silo, Roadviper)

Furrow my brow in concern, keep playing with the missiles.

[6]: You fiddle around with the missiles, firing at various asteroids. One of them flies towards the Thrasher. Oops...

Major Anthony: What the hell man!

Thrasher evade roll [1] Expert skill level epic fail block, real roll [2]: They fail to react in time.
Thrasher's right APIMGT's fire roll [4]: They blow up the asteroid.

Major Anthony: That had better have been an accident! Or I'll come over there and punch you myself!

No skill Missile [2/4].

(Co-Pilot Fenrir, Voidraper)

Praise the ground Dervin walks on, then have a coffie instead of a kebab, it would be saccreligious to have anything else after that isplay. Afterwards take us to alpha centauri if the Cap'n has not managed it yet
[1]: You attempt to make coffee. You rip all the coffee packages you can find, plug up the drainage of the kitchen sink, and set the water speed on full. You flood the kitchen with coffee. Great job. You are quite dirty. Oh, and the doors are jammed. You are now trapped in a room half full with coffee and still filling up (3 turns to complete kitchen flood).

(Voidraper)

Leap out of the captain's chair, hustle down to the armory, and patch up USEC using a medpack.

[5]: Feeling USEC's pain, you rush to the loading bay, grab a medpack, and run to him as if he were your son. And attempt to patch him up.

Heal [5+1=6] You yank the bullet out, apply organ foam to his lung, and patch up his wound. He is in great shape for someone who just shot his own lung. Though he seems to have passed out from the pain.

No skill First Aid [1/4].

(Roadviper)

Pull up some books about known alien life forms besides the Xecobians and read while I'm waiting.

((I'm horrible at creating creatures. And I'm still out of imagination from making planets.))

[6]: You look for books, then realize, books are severely outdated in favor of computers and are quite rare these days. So you check online for lifeforms in Alpha Centauri. Though you are only interested in Omega Earth's lifeforms.

Spoiler: Lifeforms (click to show/hide)

Drown in my own blood. Live damn it! Live!
[3]: You are living, though you are sleeping like a baby. A baby the size and age of a adult man with a covered up half inch hole in his chest.

(Roadviper)
Start up the ship and get us to our destination, regardless of all the tomfoolery going about.

[1]. BASIC SAVE ROLL [1], actual roll [1]: You randomly hit the acceleration and fly into an asteroid. D'oh!

Shield resist roll: Shield:[6][3]=[9]. Damage roll:[2].

The shield easily repels the asteroid.

Research known Xecobian ships and equipment.
Waaahhhh! Creating ships is hard! No way! They'll have to wait until you actually encounter them. Luckily for you, you'll encounter one this turn.

Wait for the ship to depart, and while doing so, customize the weaponry here so it suits my style better.
(Next time specify how you want it modified.)

[4]: You attempt to modify the weapons, but realize you can only modify it from the outside or the engine room. Instead you spend your time getting used to the controls.

Basic missile [3/4].
No skill cannon [3/4].

Swagger on down to the loading bay and see if I can make any improvements to the jeep.
(Would be nice to specify the improvements.)

[6]: You swagger down to the loading bay and work on the jeep. Taking spare materials from various parts of the ship.

When you are done the jeep barely resembles a jeep anymore. It more or less resembles a very slow moving APC.

Basic engineering [3/4]

(VoidRaper)

Rip off my shirt, then sprint to USEC_Officer, Baywatch style. Attempt to bandage him while dramatically screaming "You ain't getting this one yet, Lord!" and other pithy screams.

[1]: You jump down from your APIMGT and then try to rip off your shirt, but flail around hitting a wall hard. Knocking yourself out. Nice job.

I'm kinda bored here, so I'll try to put on some music. GOOD music, hopefully.
[6]: You put on rap music. It's nice, for rap, but it's still rap music.

Some unknown force teleports the Voidraper to the meeting point.

Major Anthony: About time. What was taking yo-... Wait. How did you get here without an in system jump...?

Shad0wdump and IronyOwl both rush back to their seats.

SHAD0Wdump: Well it started when-

Major Anthony: Know what... forget it. I don't care. Let's just get moving.

Major Anthony: Line formation, line up on my wings.

You both move into position.

Major Anthony: Jump in... Five, four, three, two, one...

...

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Major Anthony: Damn! contact dead ahead! It's a destroyer! Roadviper, Voidraper, circle him and attack from the back! Watch out for it's main guns! I'll distract him, fire at will!

Just in case you forgot the range of the Nova missile, here's the spoiler of the weapons.

Remember to state the ship you are in at the start of your first post in parentheses and bolded so I don't accidentally screw something up. Thank you.

Great way to start a battle guys. :P

(Roadviper)

Follow the Majors orders.

Wait until the destroyer gets into firing range (don't want to waste ammo) and wait for the destroyers shields to go down before firing at will.

Fire AAPMAC's at center top of the enemy frigate.

Edit: I'm gonna be gone over the weekend.  So in the event that you get a turn up before Monday, don't wait up for me.

Fire AAPMAC's at center top of the enemy frigate.

They're out of range. (AAPMAC's max range is 3 squares away, enemy at 8 squares away.)

(VoidRaper)

Begin moving the ship behind the destroyer as per Anthony's orders(N,N,N). Make sure all guns have a line of site. And ensure the ship doesn't run into anything from that asteroid belt.

Position the ship behind the destroyer as per Anthony's orders. Make sure all guns have a line of site. And ensure the ship doesn't run into anything from that asteroid belt.

You're going to have to represent "Position the ship behind the destroyer as per Anthony's orders." More specifically. Ships move like a roguelike. In the form of tiles. The amount of tiles you can move is limited by your ship's speed. So with a speed of 3 you can only move 3 tiles per turn. So there's no way you are going to be able to get behind the destroyer in one turn. I think I should have cleared up movement more clearly. Sorry.

Stop the flooding and open the doors, yel for engineer asistance, open doors by shooting holes in them if neccisary

You really can both sig it.
But... That would break the laws of sigging! We can't have everyone running around with the same quotes. IT MAKES THEM UNFUNNY FASTER!

Ok, tell me which way the destroyer is facing.

You should be able to judge based on your LOS...

He's facing almost directly at the Thrasher.

That's less than convenient, don't be surprised if I go and ask you every turn if you don't include that.

Yeah. I know. It's less than convenient to me too. So as soon as I find an alternitive, I'm changing to it,

I'm a bit unsure with the current LOS technique right now too. Right now I'm basically testing how it works in combat compared to the amount of time it takes to change it. So in other words: Nothing in combat is final. It's in testing.

Also, about your recent edit:
(N,N,N,N,NE,NE)
So with a speed of 3 you can only move 3 tiles per turn. So there's no way you are going to be able to get behind the destroyer in one turn.

I coulda sworn you said 6... >_>

Also, you can simply say a ship is facing N/NE/E/SE/S/SW/W/NW, and there you have it. LOS is whatever you make it so long as those weapons are restricted to those basic directions, as an example, the APIMGTs can face anywhere between directly forward of the ship and backward, and the frontal guns would probably only be able to face directly ahead, and at most 45 degrees to the left or right.

Maybe. I'll see how it works next turn.

Limiting Armor Piercing Incendiary MiniGun Turrets to 45 degrees completely messes up the fact that it's on a turret. What kind of lame excuse for a turret can only turn 45 degrees? :P

I'm going to try limiting the maximum angle of other weapons.

Yes it would... What I suggested was 180 degrees of protection for the turrets, and at most 45 degrees for the main guns.
