Help the captain bring the voidraper out, fire at nearby asteroids for practice
Not yet, Wedilyl(or however you spell that guy's name) is still in the docking doors, I'd rather make sure we leave with him.
Plus, gives us time for that shield modification.
It's Waladil. And, actually. He's already inside the ship. He wants to get back into the station to get his sandwich. Thus him banging on the doors. And you guys looking at him strangely.

Changing it to prevent more confusion.

Voidraper
So I can't get out. I go to the ship's galley to get a sandwich. Then I eat the sandwich in my station. If I cannot obtain sandwich, I stand vaguely near my station looking forlorn.

On an unrelated note, I didn't sleep last night and spent like 12 hours playing D&D. My decision-making skills are not at their -- I WANT A SAMMICH NOW!!!

P.S. The word "their" is looking freakier than usual in my impaired state. Coincidentally, the other impaired state is Louisian-- SHUT UP RIGHT TEH FUC NOW!

Waiting on Nimitz.

Anyway, I'm working on the Alpha Centauri system. You'll be sure to have a lot of text to read.

Good, I'm almost done with my current book. (Book series, technically. Rereading The Lost Fleet.)

Apologize to James, and help him back up into his station. Then I'll head to my OWN station and check my systems. Await further orders.

Here's some history to keep you guys occupied while I create the next turn and improve the first post. The Alpha centauri system is still under construction.

Question: What is the reason to prevent us from using FTL ships, like Bragg did? i.e. big boom

Nothing. Though there's a big size and power difference between a frigate's FTL drive, and a cruiser's. And unless you detonate it remotely, you'll die from the explosion. So it's more of a last ditch attempt to take as many of the S.O.Bs you can with you. I encorage you to only use it if you are going to die and you want to take as many of the Xecobians as you can with you.

Turn 12: OH GOD THE FAILING!

(Captain Silo, Roadviper)

"Well, uh, they all got on board okay. I'd guess they're just having engine trouble."

Practice evasive maneuvers.

"Well, uh, they all got on board okay. I'd guess they're just having engine trouble."

[1]. Reroll of [4]. Thus actual roll is [2]: You'd rather not practice dodging in a asteroid field.

(Roadviper)

Get off the floor and give Nimitz a look and say 'What the heck are you doing??' Then return to my station and.... do nothing and wait for the captians orders.

"What the heck are you doing??"

[1]: You fumble trying to get back into your APIMGT. And fall again.

Floor [1]
VS
smjjames's face [1]

You leave a dent in the floor. And your nose is bleeding. Ouch.

Grab a REAPER or DEFENDER from the armoury. We ain't leaving soon.
[3]: You grab a DEFENDER from the armory. Meh.

Roadviper

Prepare the ship for the trip to alpha centauri.

[3]: You turn on the shields. That's it.

Roadviper

Chillax.

[1]: Chillax? CHILLAX?! YOU DON'T WANT TO CHILLAX! AAARRRGHHHH!!! MUST VENT RAGE ON SOMETHING!

[4]: You attack the INFURIATING wall!

Wall [3]
VS
Paranatural's attack [1]

You punch the wall. OH GOD IT HURTS! You sit back down in your chair rubbing your hand.

Voidraper

Swear death on the Roadvipers captain before making some coffee and trying to power up the shields or whatever the captain was talking about last turn.
[1]: You shout non-understandable babbles about Irony. Then you make your way into the kitchen and try to make coffee by shouting at the coffee packages. It doesn't work. You are too distracted by the invincible coffee packages to improve anything.

Help the captain bring the voidraper out, fire at nearby asteroids for practice
[6]: You help your captain. Though you don't have the time to fire at asteroids.

Locate and study the operator's manual for the ship's missile launchers.
Familiarize myself with the AAPMACs' controls.
[1]: You look for the manual. Let's see. Engineering... Hand-to-hand combat... How To Fire Ship To Ship Missiles... Strongest Men In The USDF... Wait. Strongest Men In The USDF? Well, that sounds interesting!

(Roadviper)
I improve the weapons systems and look up manuals of engineering

[1]. Trained block, new roll [2]: You nearly try bashing the AAPMACs firing mechanisms. But decide not to do it. You don't manage to find any manuals on engineering.

Release the ship into space. Make a note to keep that docking door closed.
[3+1=4]: You manage to bring the Voidviper out of the docks. That's it really.

Voidraper
So I can't get out. I go to the ship's galley to get a sandwich. Then I eat the sandwich in my station. If I cannot obtain sandwich, I stand vaguely near my station looking forlorn.

[5]: You rush to the Kitchen, and notice Dervin shouting at coffee packages. Idiot. You grab THE BEST SANDWICH EVER from the fridge and walk back to your station. You then eat the sandwich. Mmmmm...!

Apologize to James, and help him back up into his station. Then I'll head to my OWN station and check my systems. Await further orders.
[1]: You "Help" James by throwing him back up into his station. He falls on you.

smjjames [5]
VS
Nimitz attack [3]

He lands on you. Throwing you to the ground. He is perfectly unharmed. You, on the other hand, have bruises.

Anthony: No rush. I can wait...

Spoiler: Roadviper (click to show/hide)

Spoiler: Ochita: Engineer. (click to show/hide)

Spoiler: Voidraper (click to show/hide)

Spoiler: Dervin: Engineer. (click to show/hide)

What did you guys do to anger the RNG so much? If it wasn't for your basic/trained skills you would have had quite a bit of fun this turn.

I'm wondering if we'll even get to the attack before everyone kills themselves.

Position the ship to stand-by for FTL travel with the Roadviper and, er... Anthony.

Lol!!

Get up again, and run to the APIMGT seat and then shoot the dice, if said dice are not present, shoot at a squarish rock or chunk of ice.

That oughta make the RNG behave. :)

Since the coffee packages have to be mean about it, I will rip them open and snort the coffee beans before trying to improve the shields or whatever the captain was talking about.

The only way I can fail this is if I downgrade the shields in a coffee induced rage.
