(Captain Silo, Roadviper)

Put myself out, then try very hard not to cram the ship into a reactor core that's going critical. Move away from the Smew if it seems like it'll help with that.

Posts so far, including mine

Aim bullseye on the frigate, then shoot at max power when its shields are down. At the same time, be sure to NOT hit any escape pods.

(ROADVIPER)

Unjam the damn cannons and shoot the frickin frigate

THe Jolly Smew

"All Crew Abandon Ship"

Grab a pistol from the bridge just in case then get to an escape pod, ejecting it

Fine, then just GET TO THE ESCAPE POD!!!!

Well, with new data:
(The Sad Smew)
1.) Get to the armory. Get a gun.
2.) Get a face mask. I assume they're either in the armory or near my duty station.
3.) Get to an escape pod (how many do we have, anyway?)
4.) Stand ready to board Xecobian frigate if (and only if) I can do so advantageously.

Yes, I will also change my turn.

Yar, give 'em a full broadside!

Damn. Hope the boys on the Smew'll be alright. I will focus my fire on the frigate's engines.

Escape pod, pilot it to the nicest looking Sprite derelict, get inside and repair its systems if possible.

"Likely"=Likely not.

Turn 7: Victory!

Aim bullseye on the frigate, then shoot at max power when its shields are down. At the same time, be sure to NOT hit any escape pods.
[3]: Shields are still up, not going to waste ammo on the shields.

(ROADVIPER)
Unjam the damn cannons and shoot the frickin frigate

[4]: You somehow unjam your weapons. And fire on the frigate.

No skill engineer [1/4] No skill cannon [2/4]

Shield resist roll: Shield:[3]. Damage roll:[6][4][2]=[12].

The shields are easily blasted away.

Damage [1][1]

One shot misses any thing of marginal importance. The second one blasts a gigantic hole on the ship. The frigate is crippled.

THe Jolly Smew
"All Crew Abandon Ship"
Grab a pistol from the bridge just in case then get to an escape pod, ejecting it
"All Crew Abandon Ship"

You rush to grab a pistol. You then get to escape pod 03 and launch.

Fine, then just GET TO THE ESCAPE POD!!!!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

You get to escape pod 01 and fire.

You rush and grab a rifle. Then search desperately for a mask, but find none.

You then rush to pod 08 and fire it. You turn towards the frigate. But find it with a gaping hole in the side. So you just wait.

(The Jolly Smew)
1.) Get a pistol.
2.) Get a face mask. I assume they're either in the armory or near my duty station.
3.) Get to an escape pod.
4.) Stand ready to board Xecobian frigate if (and only if) I can do so advantageously.

You wake up and rush to the armory and snatch a pistol. Shiny!

You see Waladil search everywhere for a mask. He finds none.

You get to and launch pod 15.

The frigate looks far too dangerous to board right now.

(Roadviper)
Yar, give 'em a full broadside!
(the frigate, that is...)
Broadside? What? All your weapons are on the front of the ship.

[4]: You let rip with your cannons.

Basic Cannon [2/4]

Damage [5][4]

And turn that frigate to space dust.

Get in a escape pod, put a mask on, turn the O2 up and lets get outa here.
Get to da pod! Pod 06 to be exact. You get in, put the mask on, and launch.

(Captain Silo, Roadviper)
Put myself out, then try very hard not to cram the ship into a reactor core that's going critical. Move away from the Smew if it seems like it'll help with that.

"I realize this is deadly combat, but if you could disable the frigate rather than blowing it up that'd be great."
[3]: You run back to the captain's seat and you turn a 180 and fly away. Uhh... That's it.

Basic Pilot [3/4]

"I realize this is deadly combat, but if you could disable the frigate rather than blowing it up that'd be great."

HCA fighter leader: "I'm not the one who blew it up."

Oh wait. FIREEEEEEE!

Fire roll [4]: You stop drop and roll, but don't put it out.

(Road Viper)
Try to improve the shields again

[1]. REROLL=[5]. NEW ROLL [2]: You look at the shield generator, it looks like it's already at it's limit. So you don't touch it.

Damn. Hope the boys on the Smew'll be alright. I will focus my fire on the frigate's engines.
"Aye aye. Targeting engines now."
[AUTOFAIL]: He's dead Jim.

"Aye aye. Targeting engines now.". You feel silly once you notice that there's no frigate anymore.

Escape pod, pilot it to the nicest looking Sprite derelict, get inside and repair its systems if possible.
You rush to the pods and launch. Hm. Doesn't look like you need a fighter anymore since the battle's over.

Victory!

The Smew goes critical, and blows up. The RoadViper picks up the entire crew.

Atlantis (HCA Space station): "This is the HCA Atlantis, all enemies are destroyed. Thanks for the help. I see you've lost a frigate, sorry, but we don't have any. You'll have to return to Sol to get a new one."

HCA fighter leader: "Thanks for the help guys. I thought we were goners for sure."

Spoiler: Roadviper (click to show/hide)

Spoiler: Ochita: Engineer. (click to show/hide)

Urgh. Now I have to figure out where I want the story to go now.

Why didn't you do my turn intil after the shields went down, or at least after Paranatural killed the shields? I know it doesn't matter now since the frigate got killed, but still....

I do turns in order of first posted first moves. In case you didn't know. Lots of RTDs (if not all of them) do it like that.

Oh, sorry. Just thought it would have made sense in this situation, but eh well. :)

Gonna wait for Ironyowl since this is a non-combat turn.

Actually, you don't waste a turn going before Irony. Since next turn will also be a non-combat turn. And likely the one after that, and the one after... You get the point.

At worst, Irony will get a [1] on docking when docking a station.

The ship explodes, causing a cataclysmic chain reaction through the entire station, destroying it!

Everyone dies.

I meant as far as deciding what to do for this particular turn.

Also, shouldn't Ochita be the one on fire and not Ironyowl?

Activate the fire control system to put out Ironyowl, whos on fire, assuming the fire control system doesn't involve exposing that section to the vacuum of space or depleting that section of oxygen.

After that, retire to my cabin (I do have one, right?), pull up a book from the ships library (or my own personal library) and do some reading.
