Did the clunk noise come from my section? If so, check it out, otherwise ignore it.

Not much else to do until we get out of the system and to our destination.
Salute the captain on his way in.

On our way out of the system, do system checks on the weaponry, make sure the weapon scanners, sights, etc are working 100%. Then just, wait. Wait for further orders from the captain and go about my usual duties.

[6]: You salute, shake hands, hug, high-five, and bro-fist the captain... Err...

You check the weapons, they look fi-*ca-clunk*. ...What was that? Oh well, what's the worst that could happen?

You walk to your APIMGT.

I become familiar with the ship, also if possible look for a area that can be used as a shooting range. Take off!
[5]: You rush to the engine room in record time. Hmm, the ammo belt for the right APIMGT seems to be jammed, you un-jam it.

I should probably make this a note to all forum game GMs everywhere - make your turns somewhere that doesn't easily get erased! Notepad at the least, spreadsheet at best. It's saved me countless times.
Yeah, I need to remember to do that. Redoing turns SUUUUUUCKKKKKKKKKKSSSSSSS.

Oh right, fail at reading it :P

I'll change it....

Bring up a simulation of the right side weapons and turrets to get familiarized with the range and sighting capabilities as well as any other limits such as barrel overheating, etc that would be critical in a fight.

Don't know if this will count as accessing the ships library or not.

Does there need to be a security team, or should I sign up for a engineer position?

I don't really see a reason for a security team, since the guys should be able to handle themselves. And besides, it'd be pretty boring just waiting while the other crew members are firing the ship's guns.

I may add another ship for the waiting list guys, but we'll see, you want to sign up on the waiting list?

This is probably about as hilarious a start as a supposedly serious RTD could get. :P

"Uh, right! Thank you tower, we're launching now. I'm sure of it."

Now get us to Luyten.

If the second ship goes through:

Name: David Muller
Position: Medic, Lt. First Class
Skills: Healing, Turret
Gender: Male
History: David Muller was born on Earth, and orphaned at an early age. He got into the USDF on a scholarship, and has been dedicated to the cause ever since. He voluentered for this mission as soon as he heard. While many call him cold, and heartless, he is efficent at his job, and has saved the lives of many soldiers. He was among the survivors of the first wave of attacks, where he learned his turret firing skills.

Is this okay?

There is no medical position though. Other than that, everything else looks fine.

Heh, me having to rewrite the turn is mainly to blame. The first version had everything working out (Except Nimitz and someone else, who both failed).

Then why shouldn't there be? Panther still hasn't launched. Just think of what kind of stuff they'll get up in when they actually do something. I would think that a Medic would become very useful.

Okay, I explained it before.

The ship is not named "Panther". That's the class. GET IT RIGHT PEOPLE! ::)

The reason for no medics is because there is no medical bays. Because there are only six members in a Panther. It's not designed for ground combat. And it has four med-packs already. No need for a medic. Larger ships yes, but not a six man ship.
