Difference between versions?
« on: June 09, 2010, 01:56:17 pm »

Ok.... so whats the difference between the Legacy and SDL versions of Dwarf Fortress 0.31.06?

I've been gone from the DF scene for a few months, so I'm sure I missed something here.

I just wondered this myself. I'm glad I searched first.
Does anyone know?

Something to do with how it renders the graphics or processes or something. Legacy == Old/Outdated.

Also bear in mind that dwarves have their heads at a perfect height for a good face-kicking.
That's the great thing about this forum. We can derail any discussion into any other topic.

I believe it's a switch to SDL, or if not, a big improvement in how it's rendered.  A big speed increase on my end.

Only in dwarven culture is alcohol poisoning a death worthed investigating, while being impaled through several toes, a eye, and a thumb from a spiraling water[3] is not.  Because everyone knows, the only way a dwarf could get alcohol poisoning is if someone put poison into the alcohol.
