Yeah, just post funny IRC quotes you've picked up in #bay12games as long as they relate to Dwarf Fortress.

I'll start:

Walls dont catch fire or melt, from what I tested in b. I think doors may not either.

Doors (and other wooden furniture) can in fact catch fire, but I'm not sure how the mechanic works. Modding a playable fire spirit into Adventure mode and sitting in the chairs or walking through the doors had no effect, but when I went and set other stuff on fire, the human inhabitants presumable happily picked up and started eating the !!mule meat!!, thus setting everything near them on fire.

Constructed walls and floors won't burn no matter what they're made of, though. Not sure about how water constructions work.

Is it just me or did GreyMario quote something because it was funny and then everybody is deadly serious and behaves as if he asked the question in the quote?

Sadly I don't have any good quote but I just want to encourage people to post quotes as per the first post, this is supposed to be a cheerful thread!

Nothing in particular.  He was just joking about the fact that Dwarf Fortress has EVERYTHING.
