Jaybud, how'd you get that sketchup? How do you make a sketchup, rather.

Ya, sketchup is pretty awesome.

My favorite part of Wurm is the background ambient noise. The sound of the birds actually sounds like walking around a nature preserve in this area; I haven't ever heard such realistic bird sounds in any game before. The problem I had with it is when I realized it took as long to build something in the game as it would to actually build one in real life and the degradation of everything being used; it wasn't hard to foresee a point at which all effort would be spent merely keeping stuff from falling apart rather than actually building more awesome stuff.

The problem is the constant mouse clicking and even to ensure you will be clicking all of it yourself, there are a lot of anti-macro features. So you have to waste hours and hours, standing in a single spot... clicking the same menus...

Which server and kingdom should I be picking?

Although honestly I don't think I'll get into this much, I'd like to try.

Home/Wild?

Mol Rehan/Jenn-Kollan?

Home server, which is now called Freedom.

You really should watch TV or listen to music while you play.

I'm from rockcliff (taking a short break from the game right now due to finals anyway, back in 3 weeks), so I might swing by in a few weeks. Just to let people know, its actually possible to walk from the starter town to your town without drowning, but its a fair sort of hike.

Actually, they've added in heaps of keybinds in the last year. Eg, i've bound dig to k. Just press k 4 times, wait 20 seconds, do it again, move dirt out etc.

Hit F1 (console), and type "bind dig k" or something like that.

My biggest issue is that you have to bring up menus to do simple things instead of a single click. Carpal tunnel ftl.

Having it take a long time gives a sense of accomplishment for large tasks like the mines that connect oceans and stuff.

I'm willing to take my boat to the starter town to give people a ride to town, if they want to join.

You really should watch TV or listen to music while you play.
Then it's watching tv, not playing.

The keybinds is a good addition but... It's still a javare, no such thing for me.

I'm saying that having something in the background to distract you, such as a television or music, helps alleviate the tedium of grinding for resources or skill.

Well, I'm saying it shouldn't be that tedious. It's a game, it's supposed to entertain you, not make you look for other forms of entertainment.
