ASCII RTD Number 2! The Adventure!

Yo, this is Omegastick with ASCII RTD!

There are only two proper 'rules':
OK, here's how combat works:
Step 1: pick a target to attack
Step 2(D): defenders roll is made (1. +1 to A 2. N/A. 3. N/A 4. -1 to A.  5. -2 to A. 6. N/A)
Step 3(A): attacking roll is made (1. miss, hitting yourself. 2. miss. 3. scrape enemy. 4. solid hit. 5. chop body part off / massive damage. 6. chop body part off / massive damage and hitt yourself)

Step 4: Damage done

Modifiers include: dual weapons(2 attacks), shield(+shield quality to D), fists(-2 to A and D)

And a new magic system (The old one was way too over powered):
There are three circles of magic: fire, water and earth.
Generally fire magic is offensive.
Generally water magic is healing.
Generally earth magic is defensive.
Although, with each circle comes basic control over each element.
You gain levels in each circle, with each level you get a new spell.
More powerful spells are more likely to backfire.
Specifically: level one spells can't backfire only fail, level two spells backifre on a one and fail on a six and, level three spells backfire on a one and a six and fail on a two, level three spells backfire on one two and six, level four spells backfire on on a roll of one two and six and fail on a three and level five spells backfire on a one, two, three and six.

To sign up post here with your name, class (Warrior, fire mage, archer, etc.) and colour.

How would 6 work?

Hitting yourself seems a bit harsh, and would make little sense with a spear, bow, or anything other than spells really. Sixes are usually more along the vein of "you stab him and pierce through, hitting the guy behind him", not "woops I just stabbed myself in the face". A good result, but more than intended.

Hmm, when I've played RTD's they've always been that a six gets the job done but there is also a downside to it because you did too good. Although, I guess it could work the other way too. As for weapons like bows and spears I'll find a way to make it work...

Color: BlackColor: Navy
Bio:Wears heavy black navy clothes, a face mask and goggles (at least, during covert ops).  Adventuring mostly for wealth.

This is my first RTD and I have no idea how to (or if I should) introduce myself as such.  Hope I don't mess anything up more than is expected for RTDs.

Bio: Coyrl never knew his parents, he grew up on the streets, after a run in with a band of thieves, they took him up, and tought him the necissary skills, he exeled more at thier way of combat than stealing, so he went off in search of adventure, Carrying an insane number of daggers, including hidden ones.

You guys are the players.

Spartan you have the following level one spells.
Code: [Select]
Earth shield:
When successful you get a bonus to any defense rolls.
Code: [Select]
Earth manipulation:
When successful you gain control over rocks and small terrain deformation (so nothing like cave-ins unless everything is suspended on a pebble).

Doopliss can attempt to identify and mix various ingredients, but don't expect any reliable outcome.



You all have a pack full of food, big enough to last one whole week. Dwreek has a copper battleaxe, Alexander has a rather large copper warhammer, Spartan has a wooden staff and Doopliss has a copper dagger and some alchemical equipment.

You have been travelling for days to find and defeat the powerful Wyrmmaster. He is an evil overlord that dends his minions out to take treasure from all over the region. You have come to collect the treasure. You find yourself outside a rear entrance to his cave, what will you do?
