Alright. Here it is. Everything seems to be OK. I added a few new tools, check the first post for details.

Have fun!

Same-day release?

That streamlining thing you've been working on must be good.  You're now faster than the graphics packs and therapist I think.

5 hours after somebody asked for compatibility with the newest release.  That's gotta be some kind of record.

Just 5 more hours faster peterix and you'll have a release before folks even get a chance to ask.

If he keeps up this rate of improvement he'll be releasing DFHack before Toady releases the new build! We'll have to make Toady speed up so we can use our new DFHack!

EDIT: dflair either.

I never finished the streamlining. The memory search tools haven't changed much... I did streamline the release process though. It's not a total pain to do anymore :)

It's just that almost nothing changed between 31.22 and 31.23... and I had 31.22 figured out the same day it was released, because only little changed between that and 31.21/31.20.
Both 31.20 and 31.19 were huge in comparison, not only in the amount of changed offsets, but some of the world map structures changed and I had to add some code to handle that.

EDIT: dflair either.
Forgot to update the readme... happens almost every time. Ideally, the readme and the build rules for tools would be generated out of the tool source files so I don't have to remember to do this every time. Well, next time :D

DFtubefill?  Is that what it sounds like?

dammit, I just drooled all over my keyboard.

EDIT:

OMG it is!  HEhehehehehe!  Oh, you made my day, Peterix!

-----

For those wondering, dftubefill fills in all the hollow spoiler tubes in the embarked area.  I used it with the cursor on the hollow space, but it looks like that might not be necessary.

Glorious.

When I click on the exe files for things like dfreveal, a terminal window pops up rapidly and then closes instantly. I am running windows 7 32 bit and DF 31.23.

Any tips?

There's a little trick I use to get it to not close immediately.

create a text file in the folder with the program yer trying to run.  In the text file type "[name of program you are trying to run].exe" then hit enter once, then type "pause".

Then save the file as "[anything].bat" (might need the save as all files on) replacing the .txt that text files usually have with the .bat.

If it worked it should change it's icon to something like the DFhack programs.  It is now what is called a batch file.  Then double click the new file you created.  It will run whatever program you had on the first line, and then pause the output til you hit a key.  Letting you see any error messages it may output.   It won't fix the program, but it often tells you what's wrong.

P.S. There's probably easier ways to do that.  But thats the way I learned how to do it years ago, and I never bothered to learn another method.

Did it. There is absolutely no output from dfreveal.exe

It isn't returning an error message, It's simply shutting off instantly. (Except when I use that .bat, where it does nothing, then waits.)
