Linux network problems
« on: June 06, 2010, 03:06:25 pm »

I found my old laptop and installed linux on it about a month ago. First the internet worked with no problems, but then I visited my grandparents, and brought the laptop with me. It connected easily there too, but when I got back home, the laptop couldn't connect. Help?

You need to provide a lot more information about your hardware and your distro.

It's a 10 years old Acer, with a failing hard disk.

OS is ubuntu 9.04.something.

Yet more info, please. What did you try? What does it say, do you have a security on your wifi?

I got it working again,  :). Thanks anyways.

The problem was: I hadn't specified any addresses, and I had wrong security thingie on.
