If this is anything like Neruz's game, at least in the early stages, then you will probably be getting the fire subtype sometime soon and the hammer would be the perfect accessory...

I believe that magic fire-based weapons usually ignore the damage that could be done to yourself. This is why a flaming sword doesn't heat up and char your hand every time you hold it.

I thought magical flaming weapons don't hurt the user because it's just the blade that's on fire. Magma, on the other hand, is hot enough that you don't need to touch it to MELT YOURSELF.

If the blade's on fire, you can bet that it would heat up the rest of the sword, or at least make the air unbreathable around it.

The point is moot here anyway, because most forms of steel are magmaproof, and warforged don't breath. Rule of Cool, too.

Sorry, I'm running a cancer-awareness thing tomorrow, so this week will be Sunday only. I'm fairly certain we can get back to two sessions per week by next week.

Attempt one, (note that I am not even trying to abuse the shield spell yet!)

  100 chain shirt
 1000 mithral
 1000 +1
 1000 intelligent

Fire
 1100 Faerie Fire 3/day(lesser power)
 5400 Control Flames(ML5 Augmented) 1/day
Male of retarded flame
This mithral chain shirt is believed to have been enchanted by an inexperienced crafter who acquired unnatural means to increase their abilities. It offers effective protection without impeding most activities and possesses some powers. These powers include the ability to generate illusionary flames that silhouette subjects, making their visible presence clearer, and controlling flames the size of a small camp-fire or smaller by adjusting their size, sustaining them, or even moving them. However, these powers are under the control of the armour's intelligence. This intelligence somehow identified itself as male and has spent its existence methodically seeking to "get into people's pants". Deemed an undesirable quality in an item of clothing, this armour has been passed down through many, many, many owners, and has seen little use...

+1 mithral chain shirt, intelligent: 9600gp
12 Intelligence, 12 Wisdom, 10 Charisma
Lawful Neutral
Ego 6, Empathic communication only, 30 ft. vision and hearing.
Lesser Powers:
 Faerie Fire 3/day
Other Powers: (according to the rules, this should probably be under the wearer's control, but I will try to balance it by not sleeping in the armour...)
Control flames, 1/day, Augmented to 7th manifester level.(+2 ego)

In the absence of any word to the contrary, I believe that it is, yes.

You're right! In a little less than five hours, it's ON.

(Yes, that means that it is one hour later than usual. I'm testing new session times. This idea is to hopefully make yon early-morning folks a little more awake at the beginning.)

Wait, I thought it started a little under an hour and a half ago from now the last two times. Meh, nevermind, I will probably remember to check again soon...
