You should make a glorious tomb for every one of your dwarves, using the stone for massive amounts of statues and coffins.

Also, smelt any ore you find and make masterpiece metal armour and weapons.

Offer the magma to the next elven caravan in a peaceful manner, like a true gentledwarf. Just make sure to give them more than they can carry.

After you get done trading, just give it away as a tribute. It'll really boost public perception of your fort if your dwarves are willing to give people the chert off their back.
