I have absolutely no idea what's going on in this fort any more. Migrants arrive, they die for some reason, the fort is flooded for another reason, then dwarves go mad, more dwarves die and I'm just laughing in my distress.

Wow, didn't expect such a response!

I don't have a lot of time to update, but I'm going to try and work it so everyone can play right from the start.

Yeah, but I'd like 2 flaws anyway. I can't be too perfect.

Okay!

I've updated, the front page with Current Players, along with their platoon loadouts and bonus abilities. If everyone could look through and let me know if anything needs changing that would be great. I've also updated the 2nd post with a list of equipment and supplies.

Feel free to start claiming equipment, though I won't guarentee you'll get all you asked for as there isn't enough to go around!

a few notes:
Using vehicles make it easier for USE to track you, especially after an ambush when you're trying to hide, so be aware that it may not always be best to take them out.

Ammo will be used up at a rate of 1x per combat encounter.
Fuel will be used up at a rate of 1x per platoon (3-4 vechicles) per turn
Cash will be used later when buying equipment from various merchants and smugglers

The list of locations is by no means complete, I'll be adding to it as  we go along. I'm also open to suggestions. See something you want to attack but it's not there? I'll add it!

I'll let you guys look this over and then write up the first post in a bit! Let me know if you have any questions.

Petrol Bombs for everyone, four Crossbow AT Launchers as well, and if possible, more ammo.
That alright?

R-12 Combat Rifles as well if I can still get more.

ill take a flak vest, duel pistols 10 pbs 10 ieds for my self my platoon takes more or less the same depending on what they prefer can carry


i also look for an abandoned building in Drayton city fortify it and set up a mica mortar as an artillery emplacement
also i start trying to construct a generator try to read books on tactics etc

FAKEEDIT: I'm just going to post up the first RP bit. Consider this to take place just before you guys take your first actions if you've already posted.

Colonel Ravere assembles the nine platoon leaders in the briefing room of the DRR HQ, located in the ruins of Drayton City outskirts. The HQ itself is fairly spartan, having just been newly established, there is little in the way of supplies and personnel is limited.

The Colonel is an older man, with a long military history. He helped lead the Drayton PDF before the USE arrived and brought the planet under their control. Always outspoken on the issue, calling them occupiers. He was the main founder of the DRFF and takes great pride in his work.

“Greetings, ladies and Gentlemen,

I'm glad to see you all before me. You've all been selected to lead for various reasons, you're some of the best Drayton has to offer and I believe with your courage and determination, we will see a Free Drayton.

I've currently assembled you into three companies with three platoons each. Consider the structure loose for now. Those who are active, hitting USE positions with success and who show the ability to coordinate well with the other platoons will be given higher command positions, but you shouldn't worry about that too much now.

As you know, last week, we raided a major USE warehouse, which some of you helped participate in. We were able to capture a large amount of supplies, weapons and equipment, which is now being distributed among the platoons. If you haven't yet filled in your requisition forms for extra equipment. Now would be the time.

Thankfully we were also able to liberate some food and medical supplies, which we were able to distribute to some of the more needy districts. We're on the USE radar now though, people. Their garrison has orders to engage all DRFF supporters, so we have to be careful. I've put up a list of viable targets that you should all take a look at. You'll all be free to engage and operate as you see fit. Use caution, we have the element of knowledge and surprise. Use it to your advantage when attacking forces of superior strength. We need to build up our supply pool if we are seriously going to challenge the USE for control.

Though our ultimate goal should be the total liberation of the planet, I feel there are some shorter term goals that we can achieve that will weaken their position.”

1)Send the USE that we are a force to be feared, ambush and attack targets of opportunity.
2)Let the people know the DRFF are there to fight for them.
3)Scavenge, steal, or procure stronger weapons & equipment to better wage war with the USE
4)Cease the flow of vital medical and food supplies from Drayton to off-world locations and divert them back to the people who need them most. Damage or capture the star port, or make the lanes of transportation to the Star port too dangerous to travel for USE convoys.

@ Ghazkull - Nice to have you, I've placed you on the first page, 4th Company, 1st Platoon. Feel free to start claiming equipment and posting actions!

@ Diablous - Could you give me a little bit of RP concerning what kind of tech you're looking for? Random stuff for profit, weapons, equipment, armour, vehicles? Helps build immersion for other players as well.

@ maxicaxi - I take it, you're using the building as a sort of forward base. If you could also add a bit of RP flavour to the action(close/far from USE patrol, supply routes), I'd really appreciate it!

Valda watched the rabble marching down the street with open disdain. No respect for real military discipline, no proper training, no proper equipment... the forces he commanded were surely the worst of the lot. A bunch of young fools, who had been recruited just a few weeks ago. No experience at all.
Right now, they were sitting on the roof of the main HQ building, making enough sound to alert any USE patrol in a five-mile radius.
He had complained to the Colonel about the situation, but he had just laughed at him. The man was unbelievable!
There was, unfortunately, nothing he could do. The men he had would have to do.

Valda considered the situation. They had been given freedom in their choice of targets, which he was thankful for. It was much easier to handle the logistics of moving only his platoon than the whole army.
Falstaff seemed like the best place to strike. Even though the city was no longer used to it's full potential, a fair portion of the factories had supposedly been brought back online. While USE brought most of their supplies and equipment from off-world, it was much cheaper for them to use the existing industrial facilities. Also, Falstaff did have a large population, and more recruits were always good.

They needed transports, first. The inner city was guaranteed to contain them, hopefully some that weren't under USE control. Trucks would do fine, but he was prepared to steal USE vehicles if necessary. If he remembered correctly, there was a minor USE motorpool just nearby...


I take my men and attempt to locate some working transports in the city
