A broadcast available to everyone on Drayton. An example of the USE spin machine.

Live from Drayton City, this is DNN with a breaking report. Violence rocked Drayton City early this morning as reports stream in of violent insurgents attacking USE aid convoys. Perliminary reports show that there have been at least four separate attacks, though USE forces suggest, two may have been linked.

*Cameras show footage of burnt out wreckage and charred USE bodies*


This convoy was attacked while delivering much needed medical supplies to some of the poorest districts in Drayton City. While no group has claimed responsibility, experts agree, that it is most likely the work of an extremist separatist group know as the DRFF. Known for their brutality. They will most likely take the medical supplies and sell them on the black market for profit, leaving residents like Henry Stanford, with little choice.

*Cameras cut to shot of Henry, an average, yet sickly-looking Drayton citizen*

“I rely on the medical aid that the USE delivers to us... I don't understand what these separatists are accomplishing by taking medicine from us civilians. We're already facing enough shortages...”

Elsewhere a Drayton security Facility was raided, leaving a Ranking Base commander in a coma, while  at Camp Patton, a convoy with fuel and food was attacked but repulsed successfully, causing heavy rebel casualties.

*Cameras cut to Commander Pennington of the USE garrison*

“We put the rebel casualty estimates at close to 100 over all attacks... conservatively. As a precaution though we'll be upping the security of all aid convoys in the future, to ensure that the people of Drayton don't suffer needlessly, thanks to the careless actions of a few terrorists.”

Any Citizen with information on the whereabouts, or names of suspected DRFF supporters is welcome to call in to this hotline below. There are rewards being offered for information that leads to arrests. But the Commander stresses you can remain anonymous as well.

Yngvir strides over the battlefield. His men were already taking any belongings of the USE soldiers practically stripping them naked. Next to him his second-in-command, Regin read down the status report:

Sir, Dorm and Kron are dead, Frickr got a shot in his shoulder and Frey got one in his leg.

Will he make it?

I think we have one or two hours before Frickr will dine at Odin's hall...we need to reach some hospital and that fast.

Ok behead the dead USE-soldiers and form a pile from the rest of the bodies. Lay Dorm and Kron on the top of it and burn them all. They have earned themselves a warriors funeral. Bandage Frickr's shoulder with one of the uniforms. Oh and take those heads and hang them from the 2nd floor.

After another 15 minutes a the street has turned into a rather macabre scene: a small funeral pyre(made from the bodies of the USE-Soldiers) is burning the corpses of two mercs, watched by Dead Watch of several heads dangling from the 2nd floors of the surrounding buildings. It takes nearly another hour of running through side streets and sewers to confuse probable following USE-Loyalists enough to savely enter the HQ.

Instantly Hrôkr runs to the hospital wing of the HQ.
Fast we have one heavily injured and i don't think he will maek it much longer.

@Anus - you're more than welcome to use the DRFF HQ. There is no requirement to setting up your own base. The main uses of having your own would be, stashing your extra stuff  safely which you could do at the Main HQ unless you were far away (Like Watts and Valda in Falstaff), and the USE would track you to your own base instead of the main DRFF HQ if they were able to follow you for whatever reason. Some bases might also give you other advantages, like the tunnels of Drayton, or a generator for powering things.

Also @ Anus - Looking over your post, you say you need trucks. Currently Valda is the only one with Supply Trucks. Are you planning on stealing some vehicles? Alternatively, you could probably requisition some buggies or scout cars from the DRFF motor pool and cram the food in those. They're less than ideal and much less discreet, but it could work in a pinch.

One of his men scrambles up to him before he reaches the open door. His men file inside. He turns to the rebel, "This better be good."

The rebel snaps to attention and holds out a paper from the DRFF high command. On it, it details the denials in his requisitions.

Thinking quickly, Kelvas grabs a loudspeaker microphone hanging from a wall...

"Attention, this is Lieutenant Krinim speaking. There's been a change in plans... Take the remaining ten cars, put two guys in each and drive them to aforementioned slum. Take back roads, use any kind of way that you can think of to avoid USE personnel. In the event of them opening fire, if there is no alternative, then I authorize you to fire back. If possible, I want minimum USE casualties. This is not an attack on the USE! This is a relief effort! Now, that leaves ten guys. I want nine of them to work on fixing up those uniforms. I want them washed and pressed. If there's a nick in the fabric, you can touch it up with a needle and thread, but anything too serious and we'll need a professional. Do what you can. The remaining rebel and myself will interrogate the prisoners. Sound alright?"

The men shout a unified response, "SIR, YES SIR!"

The affirmative echoes to where Kelvas is standing. He smiles widely and motions for the messenger to follow, and then dismisses the five he'd sent to interrogate the prisoners. After the men are on their way to work, Kelvas peers through the windows at the prisoners. They look fresh out of boot camp. Freshly shaved baby faced. These men would crack...

"I want you to go into the room and grab one of the prisoners. Take him to the adjacent room and sit him down. Do nothing but stare, and point your gun at him. Wait for me. I won't be long."

The rebel salutes and goes into the room with the prisoners. There's a minor scuffle as he drags one of them out, kicking and screaming. The other USE soldier begins to look terrified...

Kelvas pats his officer's revolver and smiles widely. He walks in as the echoing screams trail down the hall. Closing the door behind him, he quickly drags the chair across from the other prisoner with a loud screech. Kelvas then takes a seat and begins looking over the prisoner, taking note of any details about him. He pulls out a box of cigarettes and flicks a cigarette half way out of the hole in the top. He points the end of a cigarette at the prisoner and holds the box out.

"You smoke?"

This was heard, day and night, over the loudspeakers. Watts had ordered the two dune buggies sent out to pick up worst of the wounded and they were arriving as fast as they could. He'd been forced to setup in an old parking garage for the time being. Radio said that they'd be getting around 22 total, mainly machine gun wounds.

Most of the wounded were coming in from Drayton itself, but he'd made a special point to send the first wagon out to pick up the Rats five and as many of the medical supply trucks as they could talk the Rats into handing over. The medicine was nessecary, as were the trucks, he said.

The second (and third, once the first was done unloading) trips went out to Bloodhand's unit, back at HQ's horribly understaffed hospital.

The remaining staff at the hospital were busy as they could, trying to  get bullets out of people and blood to stay in them. They didn't have nearly enough anesthetic as he would have liked, and the last of the blood was running out. He needed supplies and the sooner the better.

Actions: Wagons go out, with guard, to pick up wounded. 3 docs to a wagon. 1 doc per trip stays with the unit, giving first aid, untill all of the wounded are evaced to the field hospital. Meanwhile, the people left at the field hospital treat all incoming wounded, with priority to the worst off.

Requisition:
-3 more fuel, in order to rapidly evac all wounded.
-3 out of 4 trucks of medical supplies. Trucks included.
-Better wounded reports (Walking, immobile or dead.  Heavily wounded doesn't tell me anything, sir!)
-A map.

Also, Scar requests all available intel on Redwood Prison and a meeting with the Colonel.

haven't got time to do a proper post so just to briefly summarize:
-distribute the supplies to the doc's clinic and civilians
-reopen the 'underground railroad', a series of safehouses to move people and equipment from the capital to an unpopulated ruin
-do passive surveillance of food shipments

I've a half formed plan in my mind that requires USE equipment and uniforms. Plus, you already have sniper rifles and SMGs whereas I have only the default "Small Arms".

Alright, I'll give you the R12's and SMG's used by my team, not Ghost Team.

Great I'm going to have to make a trip to the black market next turn. Alright I'll keep the LMGs and I'll give them to my team.

I have absolutely no idea what's going on in this fort any more. Migrants arrive, they die for some reason, the fort is flooded for another reason, then dwarves go mad, more dwarves die and I'm just laughing in my distress.
