Yngvi looked at the last remnants of his once great Mercenary company. At least they were hand picke and trustworthy. Every single one of them had fought in dozens of battles.

Alright listen up Men. The Drayton Revolutionary Freedom Force...

Yngvir snorted at the sheer length of the name of that organization

...has offered us a very big present: apart that we can regain our honour by slaughtering some of those USE bastards, we also get schematics of every technology we find! But here comes as always the catch: the DRFF is highly outnumbered, outgunned and certainly not that well armed, but at least we don't have to share a toothpick among us all to kill the USE-bastards. We have currently free access to the armory and i want you to use that:
everyone grabs some combat armor and combat rifles, i don't care who gets them but also grab six of the 166ers and two of the Ares. Also everyone grabs at least 2 Petrol Bombs i want to show that rebels how the work is done. Ok that's it for now...move out we meet again in one hour exactly here!

_________________________

Yngvir was rummaging through the rebel databanks for an easy target. He considered that an ambush between Modoc and the Starport would be the easiest. He went over to the Colonel.

Sir i don't want to disturb you further with my presence but is there any place i can gather intel about the supply lines between Modoc and Drayton City? They seem to me an quiteeasy target and distributing food among the people will surely gain them for our cause also it will look like merely another food riot...

My Platoon grabs Combat Armor,Combat Rifles, 2 Petrol Bombs each, 6xM-166 LMGs, and 2 Ares HMGs

Ideas of what to do ran through Alexander's mind as he listened to the briefing. Completing goals 2 and 3 were the things that he was most interested in doing. After much thinking he decided to help procure weapons for the resistance. He decided to take his men and search the outskirts of Drayton City for weapons to scavenge. He also decided to keep a look-out for anything that could allow them spread their message to the people.

I take my men to the outskirts of Drayton city and attempt to scavenge some weapons. And also look for something to spread our message, like a equipment to make pirate radio broadcasts or whatever equivalent this planet has.

Dr. Watts had just stepped out of the briefing room of the DRR HQ. The Colonel had just appointed him as head head of 3rd Company's 2nd Platoon. Agreed to let him start up his MASH unit he requested. Good man, the Colonel, Watts thought.

He saw Valda and Kvistberg, his fellow 3rd Company Platoon leaders. Watts wasn't exactly sure what the proper name for that was. Sergeant? No, he didn't yell at people or anything. Maybe a Lieutenant. It didn't really matter, it was an informal arrangement anyways.

Dr. Watts did know that, if he wanted to get his hospital up, he'd need three things:
-A location. Somewhere that isn't going to get attacked without any warning, but not so far away from the front lines that he can't be of any help.
-Access to the motorpool. Stretchers going from the firefights to his hospital just weren't going to cut it anymore, now that he was working outside of just his own little clinic is Drayton.
-Supplies. He didn't have nearly enough blood or anesthetics or antibiotics or, well, anything besides bandages.

"Time to ask Valda and Kvistberg if they could help, I suppose.", Watts mused to himself before going up to his fellow company commanders in turn, first Kvistberg and then Valda."

"Max, how you been? Evan Watts. We were in gross anatomy back in Drayton U, remember? I hear you're planning on fortifying just outside of Drayton. Risky business. Those USE bastards will be on you like hair on a gorilla. I think I have an idea, though. How about we both requisition tow of those buggies with the HMGs, then you take all four of the machine guns for yourself and setup the cars as wounded wagons for me? I figure that you'll need the extra fire power, and I could use some cars."

"Valda! Good to see you. I know the others don't think much of you, but I know that you do good work. That's why I wanted to talk to you.", Watts said, shaking Valda's hand. "The old Quartermaster, rest his soul, acidently gave me two cases of shotgun shells instead of the beanbag rounds I requested. He also shortchanged us on fuel."

"How about I turn in these two crates of ammo and you take me down to Falstaff with you to pick up a bit of fuel? Then I can get to work setting up my field hospital down there. Sound good?"

Kelvas looks down upon his men from the speaker's riser. Peering over the podium with an almost freakishly enthusiastic expression. His men quiet in anticipation of the speech they would receive. After many long minutes, all Kelvas says is "Rebellion." Another minute. Staring at his now confused men. "Rebellion, gentlemen, is why we're here." His men share glances of worry... "We've all gathered in this great hall to rebel against that which oppresses us. That which has held us down for generations... We stand here today to make the decision to heed the call of rebellion! We will no longer stand idly by as we are taken advantage of!"

His men cheer and applaud.

"But this is not to say that we mean to destroy them." The soldiers cheers stop and they all share a confused look... "But merely that we remove from them the power to harm us. We steal from them what was stolen from us. Our ability to decide our own fates."

His men go crazy with cheering...

"Now, here are my standing orders."

The men snap to attention.

"All men are to gear up immediately. This means flak vests and, this time, we've got some heavier ordinance. One platoon's worth of F-56 SMGs. Let's also grab four of the Crossbow AT Launchers, one Ares HMG, four M-166 LMGs, and as many IEDs as we can get."

The men begin assembling gear. Kelvas talks into a speaker so his men can still hear him while they work.

"The plan is as follows: Men are to be divided into six five-man squads. Squads Alpha, Bravo, Delta, and Echo are to be comprised of one man with the crossbow AT launcher, one with an M-166 LMG, and four with F-56 SMGs. Squad Charlie will be our Ares HMG, and five F-56 SMGs and are ordered to build a camouflaged brush bunker fortification to fire the Ares from. The plan is simple. Ambush supplies headed for Camp Patton. Camp Patton is the main USE base on Drayton. If we can cripple it, they can no longer stage forces and respond to further attacks. I mean, they've obviously got food, fuel, ammunition, weaponry, nets, armor, and every other odd and end we can think of. How do you think they got there? Supply convoys. How do supply convoys travel? In the air and on the road. Now, air stuff is most likely medical supplies and personnel. They wouldn't waste transport space with stuff like food and water. So the only other option is simple. Place our five man teams on a road and ambush supply trucks. Have the men plant IEDs in the road, and use the anti-tank rockets to deal with armor. Transports explode, convoy is stopped, people start getting out of cars. Fire teams open fire on the USE personnel, Ares HMG fires from position in the middle of the action. 100% mortality rate for USE personnel. Low if 0% mortality rate for our troops. The next step is to scavenge for ANYTHING we can use. I want every scrap of material, every working part, every box, every tarp, everything. I don't care if it's a crowbar, we could use it. I don't care if it's just a syringe, we might need it. Take uniforms off of the USE personnel. I want every shoe, every hat, every stitch of clothing. Weapons, armor, ammo, equipment. Food is important. Maybe if we're lucky we'll catch some transports headed for Redwood Prison Facility. Maybe recruit some prisoners. We'll find out later. The next step is to clear the road and reset forces for the next attack. Clearing the road of some wreckage is possible with small cars or human power, but the rest, you are free to use an IED or two for. Blow it into smaller bits to be easier to sweep up. Reset forces. Repeat from step one."

His men finish reassembling from getting everything ready. All suited up and ready to go. Kelvas smiles widely.

"This is an aerial view of what the situation should look like."

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

"Got it?"

The men snap to attention and, in unison, yell, "SIR, YES SIR."

Kelvas gives them a salute.

"God speed. The people of Drayton are counting on you!"

So, basically, I'm raiding convoys.

@ Digital – In terms of transport, keep in mind that your platoon already has four supply trucks attached to it, which should be more than enough to carry your platoon around. Though if you want something a little more durable, that's more than reasonable. I've gone ahead and made it clearer what vesicles each platoon has assigned on the main page.

@ Grek – Proper rank for the platoon would be Lieutenant, but the good doctor is correct, the DRFF is fairly irregular at best when it comes to command structure!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Colonel, glanced up from a set of maps he was looking over the digital display and waved his hand dismissively, “I don't mind the intrusion at all Lieutenant, please.” He motioned the mercenary to join him. Truth be told, the Colonel should probably dislike Yngvir, but he liked that he was a soldier first, his dedication to his work reminded the Colonel of himself when he was younger, the DRFF could use more men with that sort of attitude.

“Good to see you're taking initiative. To be honest, intel on exact supply composition is spotty at best. I haven't had a lot of men to spare on intel gathering up until now. The warehouse raid has really bolstered our numbers.” Ravere stroked his beard as he pulled up a digital display of Drayton, focusing on the main highway between Drayton City and Modoc.

“From what we do know, convoys travel fairly frequently between the two cities, though most stop at the Star Port, unload and head back before hitting the outskirts of Drayton. They like to avoid the abandoned structures because they know it's easy for us to set ambushes there. Most of the food convoys are fairly light on protection. We haven't been hitting them that hard, and they need the men elsewhere. Bu they are on high alert.”

He paused a moment to try and give an accurate estimation.

I'd say, somewhere between 4 and 8 trucks with food, and maybe 2 to 4 HMG equipped scout cars with guards. Like the ones we captured during the raid. Even the HMGs we have could punch holes in their armour given a good line of sight. Should be easy pickings for your boys with a few IEDs. Bigger convoys and ones hauling weapons and equipment are a different story. They'll keep a platoon with APCs guarding those... at least.

If you plan on going for the bigger ones, I'd take some of the AT weapons and mines... and it wouldn't hurt to work with another platoon or two.”

Phantom took a look a short look at the people in the DRFF.
There were some many, so many people form different backgrounds who came here just to help in the Rebellion.
Finally, he went off to meet up with his platoon, the group of men who served with him for as long as he could remember his time in the DRFF.
He lays a map of the outskirts of a . A red circle is placed on a valley with a small backroad heading towards it. A few miles of a red circle was placed on a USE Warehouse, with a black x on it.

"Alright, anyone remember the warehouse raid? Nice damn job, but we need to give the equipment to the others. Besides, we ain't the Drayton Recon Raiders, we're Guerrilla Fighters, and we're damn good ones.

Here is the plan. Remember the old military outpost over here? It might not be a USE Warehouse, but it still has some equipment that might help us and everyone else. Shouldn't be much because all the military over there went down fighting. Plus, it is acting as an Officers Quarters, well for Sargeants and some 2nd Lieutenants. There ain't much natural cover in the land outside the base besides the hills and rocky formations, but it will be enough. We'll be coming in at night."
Phantom points at a group of hills north of the base.
"Alright then, here will be Team A's, or Ghost Teams, insertion point, there should be at least 2 snipers in your team, but no more than 3, because you're going in the base. My team will be made up by a hybrid of SMG and Sniper users. My team will go for the Officers, while Ghosts Team attempts to search the armory while avoiding most enemy contact, unless trying to eliminate a USE Officer while en route. After about 30 minutes, it's time to high tail it. Attempt to meet up here."
He points towards the yellow dot on the map.
"Alright, avoid most contact, raid the armory, and killing all high ranked officials you see. Hopefully, the armory ain't empty anymore.
I know this will be at least a success."

Basically, raid a lightly defended abandoned and ransacked Military Outpost while shooting up the USE high ranking NCOs and Low ranking Commanding Officers. I may be going for too much here, but bleh.

Anya stared at the assorted commanders. Her eyes, not missing a thing, took them all in. Gangsters, doctors, offworlders, the DRFF had them all. It looks like they certainly scraped the bottom of the barrel for this. Hell, let's just hope I can get my men armed properly. She listened to the Colonel's speech with feigned disinterest, taking everything in. We'll need to set up a base. After the Colonel finished his speech, the woman walked up to the Colonel. She salutes the man.

"Colonel, with your permission, I would like to set up a base of operations in Drayton City. We'd like to take some R-12s, some M-166 HMGs and as many IEDs as possible. Cash would be nice too, sir. I'm positive that we could begin operations soon."

"Well, I never thought I'd live to see so many cocky bastards assembled in one place."
Skye quietly hushed Bray but couldn't help letting out a small laugh anyway.  After four harsh years, she couldn't help feeling happy to see even a small victory.  But still...
"Shame Max isn't here, he would get a good laugh out of this many big ego's in small frames..."
Bray sighed at her pessimism.  "I think Max would be too busy being happy with the fact that we have a few weeks food and some proper weapons now."
"Well we can't get complacent." Skye snapped back, suddenly irritable.  "We still need a refuge that stays safe for more then a week and some goddamn medicine.  How much longer will those inhalers last?"
Bray shrugged.  "Long enough.  I haven't been running around as much these days.  The asthma doesn't flare up as much."
Skye gave a hollow laugh "Small blessings.  Well, look, I'm going to talk to this doctor fellow about solving that.  It's safe enough to move back into the city and we need to throw a homecoming party.  Do me a favor and go tell the gang to go stitch some red cross logo's on bags and scrape together some fireworks at the ruined apartments we crashed at six years back.  And plan for a quick escape once the fireworks go off, cause there's gonna be hell on our tails."
Bray smiled "Sounds like a fun plan, Skye.  I'll go spread the news."  With his white cane in front of him, he carefully felt his way across the room and headed for the exit.

--------

"I take it your Doc Watts?  I'm Skye from the Rats.  Well, I guess we're supposed to be first company, third platoon now, but we're the Rats.  You should know we all appreciate you saving Bray after that gas attack, we thought he was done for.  Don't suppose I can run an idea past you, Doc?  Both us needs meds badly and I got a plan to pinch 'em."
"The USE is taking all the meds they can find, right?  So I figure why not slip a little surprise in with those meds?  That way when they drive it to the spaceport, we just push a radio control and suddenly their trucks fill up with poison gas.  My gang can take it from there, we dash in, take the stuff, swap the bags for dummies and lead 'em off to an ambush point.  They'll be so busy counting the holes in their bodies they won't be able to give chase when we head into the undercity.  Sound like a plan, doc?" Skye grinned a malicious grin as she waited for a reply.

Seeing that the Colonel was busy, Anya turned to one of her compatriots. A young woman, from the slums no doubt. The former USE servicewoman held out her hand to her.

"Hello. I couldn't help but overhear that you need some help. I'm Captain Kowalski, and I think I can help you with what ever you need. My men are well trained, and we need to set up a base of operations in Drayton."

((I'll pretend they just found those trucks right now then))

They had found four battered, but still-working trucks nearby and put them to good use. On the way back to the HQ, he thought about the Doctor's offer. They could always use more troops, and having medical aid in Falstaff couldn't hurt either.

Once the trucks had reached the HQ, Valda climbed down and went to find Watts.

'Yes, I can get you to Falstaff. Just get your platoon aboard those trucks and we're ready to go.'

I head for Falstaff when everybody's onboard of the trucks

Dr. Watts nods his head to Skye, remember the last gas attack. He stopped to consider the proposal but shook his head. "I'm not a poisoner. Nothing lethal. I have some strong tear gas, but that's it. Try to be careful about it. We don't have the hospital set up, so anyone who gets hit will have a long wait until I can help them."

After turning in his requisition list and handing over the tear gas to the Rats, he was ready to load up with Valda.

Requisition 2 Dune Buggies for Wounded Wagons. Take them over to Kvistberg. Head down to Falstaff with Valda.
