Hello Gms, I'm still enjoying your game, thanks for the hard work. I think a small prestige point purchase is in order some time within the near future, and this is coming from a guy who is necessarily stingy.
One thing that really needs some polish however is the marketplace. It would be nice to be able to have the option to set multiple orders. Although I'd be happy with the screen staying the same and not advancing to the trade movement screen.
By set multiple orders, I mean all at once via an extra text box, so you can set 15 orders of 3000 stone for example, so small cities may purchase your wares.
Also, it could use a max button for the quantity of goods number box.
A caravan capacity countwould be good for that screen as well.
Finally, there could be an on/off option when accepting trade offers which should leave you the option of staying on the same screen to accept more trade offers; or if checked to navigate to trade movements page when the trade is accepted. If you could go down the list of offers and hit accept for all the reasonable offers it would really be efficient instead of having to go back and forth reloading the market screen every single time.
As it is, I am hardly using the marketplace to the capacity I would if it was designed a little better to facilitate ease of use.
Also, another thing I would recommend is perhaps a custom user interface, where a user could design the colors/backgrounds in Illyriad. I thought of this due to the new splash screen; while I appreciate the artist's obvious talent, it would be excellent to be able to customize one's own Illyriad window.
Also, thanks GMs, you've been doing a good job. I hope my feedback helps you make the marketplace a bit easier to use. Thanks for the commander change. I think it will work out well.
Also, I have an idea. Could players establish banks? Or could King Sigurd establish a bank? It would be another way to transfer gold (and thus resources) to new players. You could automate a gold loan vs wood production for example, or food, or spears.
It would be very, very awesome to have banks I think.
EDIT: For example, taking a large loan out on clay would encourage someone to settle next to that 19 clay NPC square no one wants. Then we get the subsequent clay crash and rebound, although with Illyriad there might be violence too!
EDIT2: Also, GMS,
there is a pretty nasty reoccurring bug with alliance chat. It keeps rolling back to an earlier date randomly. All the conversation past that point is gone and you log into a conversation you've already had a month ago or so.
