@ USEC: You can step diagonally into the exit square, unless it was blocked.

Someone asked before, what spraypaint does. All it does is mark the minimap, and the different colors let you color code your markings. Yellow, pink, green, and blue. Obviously you shouldn't use green or blue on the sewer walls (do use them on the room floors, since they're gray) because those colors don't show up very well; which leaves yellow and pink. Personally i use one color to mark the grates, and then the other color to mark the begining of a dead-end path, possibly moving or building barricades to block it more perminately. [I like to use blue for marking big barricades positions, and green for small barricades. Store rooms are marked by a barricaded door, because SURVIVORS STEALING MY FOOD]

CHAR Offices: Don't use a pistol to kill the gaurds, use a hunting rifle; the stats are better, and the more firearms skill you have it'll be even easier then with the pistol. Personally whenever i see a CHAR Office i break the barricades down to 1 hit left, then leave for the next one. I let the zombies handle it for a few days, come back, and THEN kill the gaurds when they're sleeping, and they will be sleeping because i didn't make so much noise by breaking the barricade.

Police Department: People who are sleeping in the jail cells won't walk into the doorway. You can open/close the doors to crush-kill them, then re-examine the cells for who are still sleeping and then wake them up by shouting. Repeat.

Sadly because some items can get destroyed when you kill whoever is holding them, you may not get the food item the jailed people have -- this is why item destruction should be an % option, including 0% destruction.

Why? Special infected still attack with melee too. You can just think that they forgot how to use their abilities :P. I will do it in case someone still wants it.

21 was a achievement. Not sure about 28. (Think so.) However, as far as I can tell, there is no big baddy in the base. Is finding the easter egg an achievement?

(Also, must play more cautiosly, lost several guys already through actions related to The Guy Who Should Not Be There)

I'd find it very strange if they *didn't* put some significance on the 28th day survived.  I mean, come on...

Alright, I suppose some folks may have different references than Yours Truly, but that was the only zombie film I've seen that I felt had some real cinematic value.  And I know a number of people watched it.

I haven't gotten around to trying this yet, but I'm curious...  Does it really attempt to carry out a storyline?  I have a difficult time imagining a roguelike pulling off some kind of consistent story.  After all, you're going to die with some remarkable regularity, so it'd be kind of a pisser to have to go through the same sections of the plot all over again.

That's kind of what I've come to think of roguelikes...  They make sure to keep things interesting through all the randomization.  While this makes it far more likely that you'll die often, it also makes it less of an issue since you'll have a fresh and exciting playthrough next time.

There's a save/load feature, but there's only one slot.

Although, you just have to make a folder somwhere else and transfer any saves you wish to keep to it. That is, if you're a dirty save scummer!

This game reminds me of Dead Rising mixed with L4D in a way,I don't know why but it just does.

Well, I took a good look at all three games, and though I'm not certain about this, it may be because they all contain zombies.

They also have survivors and weapons. It looks like their creators have a similar way of thinking.

Talk about co-incidences, eh? Three games based on the concept of surving a zombie apocolypse, all sharing Zombes, survivors, weapons- oh, and ruined, post-apocolypse city-scapes- in common!
