change settings ) default ones are pretty easy

No kiting.  No guns.  Three items only.  Final destination.


Alternatively, grab every fridge on the map, and build a gigantic compound connecting like at least four houses, 2x2, with the streets in the middle as a courtyard.  Guard it, and make sure it does not fall.  this is Nozedtown, last bastion of humanity in the zombie filled cityscape.

Hardmode:  Pile a thousand survivors in it.  Obviously a thousand survivors is a lot of people to feed.  Naturally, the only way you're gonna be able to haul in enough food for 'em all is by running out and foraging with all 10 slots free.  Maybe grab a couple dudes to get eaten for you while you dash about, hoping to find bagfuls of lettuce.


Double alternatively, instead build a zombie pen.  Construct above 2x2 or an equivalent, but then fill it with zombies instead of people.  Solid car walls may be required.  Remember to maintain the walls, or they'll get out~

I made it to day 29 before taking 2 hits from the spoiler enemy. The first hit knocked me down to 1 health.

The game fell in to the trap of "I can either kill it with no worries, or it can destory me without issue". I still had a good time. It is incredibly annoying to try and manage 3 survivors though. We should be able to interact with them with the mouse, maybe right click and select sleep or "go here" or some other third thing.

i think some settings change without restart actually ) though haven't checked. you can see it in the mortem logs...

You have to wall that stuff off man. I generally take over a store, drag a bed it, cover the entrance with 2 think shelves and build a 1 thick wall around my bed with some extra room for supplies.

I agree that it would be nice to be able to shoot civilians though. Maybe a "hostile mode" that is toggleable and allows you to target non-hostiles.

well died on turn 48, group of punks spawned right on me with pistols, I killed most and had 10 HP left, one runs around a corner and knocks my head of with a bat....... hahaha 98000 points, and 1560 kills, one man army anyone?

Wait you can drag beds?  Do they act the same as shelves with the Push command?

Also, does sleeping in a proper bed actually convey any benefits?



I've never really established a real 'safe house'.  I just travel around until I find a grocery shop, board it up from the inside, camp til supply runs out, then move on.  Usually though I just eat what I find on the streets and pop blue pills, just always moving around.

can't take beds through broken windows, door you can after you break em, and pro tip: Watch your stamina, if it gets to exhausted, and you get hit by a zombie and take even one dmg, it will stay at exhausted for two turns, you can be zerg swarmed by skeletons just because you are to exhausted to fight back.

I tried maxing everything for 570% difficulty. My best effort was to survive 14 hours (probably 90% of the time I would die in the first 3 hours).
A typical start position on 570%:

Now doesn't that look fun?

Tahin got me in on this. Pretty awesome. I want crafting. And drivable cars. And rural areas. And real survivor gangs- so we can establish real bases. Oh, and there should be a territory control thing on the overmap.

All my games end with me getting killed by bikers.
