Day 15 here.

Ressources are running low.
I've barricaded and marked the shops, which aren't completely empty.
The rest I get from dying civilians.

The national guad seems not to be able to get control over the situation.
I've got my kevlar armor that way...

Still I'm good in self defence.
Melee has become a safe option and firearms are only needed if i get surrounded.

Until now I didn't knew you could push around objects...

I like how setup is 666 kb.

(EDIT:  Why are my crowbars stacked?)

Melee weapons break after some use. You can carry 3 crowbars in a single inventory slot.

I've picked this up, is it in development? Yes I know it's in alpha, but so is Incursion and it's been years since I've heard from the creator.

Though in the end, I find Zomband more intuitive.

Kung-fu girl died. 3 zombies with 3-red-bars each jumped at her. It was nice having agility 3, but I guess that doesn't make you all powerful.

:'(
The number of bars is their aggression level, not difficulty. 1 bar means they haven't noticed you(or are attacking someone else), 2 means their "tracking" you, 3 means their coming after you.

Skeletons are pretty tame, you can kill them barehanded right from the start often without taking any damage. For regular zombies I'd say you'd better have a melee weapon or pistol if you want to take them on in the beginning. Zombie Masters, bring a shotgun. Or two.

Leadership is difficult choice for a skill to take. One the one hand, two people bashing a zombie is much, much better than one. One the other hand, they'll take your precious supplies, limiting your lifetime, and the way it is now, civvies will beeline for anything on the ground, take it, and try to sell it to you. An option to kill other survivors (over supplies, and to prevent somebody from becoming a zombie) would be nice.

By the way, do zombies created from other people match their former human abilities? Or are they all just generic zombies?

I think I saw skills on those zombies.

And yeah, I do not take leadership because they always tro to steal stuff. It's impossible to shuffle your inventory or make a safehouse with loot. Plus, they have lower skills than me thus I can use that ammo/weapons more efficiently.

I find army rifles and hunting rifles to be quite good, and pistols almost as good due to amount of ammo. Shotguns are cool only at close range, you cannot snipe with them.

Fun game with certainly some potential. The inventory system annoys me though, with a spray can being equally difficult to carry as a shotgun or a big amount of food. Is there any separate ammo for guns or do I just have to loot a new gun once I've used ammo for one? So far I've only found guns, not bullets at all. Even a weapons store only had guns. I hope the inventory system changes.

I wish there was a Fort Zombiesque way to form a permanent base too. Mainly that you could collect survivors, take them to the base and leave them there to do some stuff.

Well, still great fun for alpha!

No ammo, apparently.

CHAR offices are a source of guns, armor, and medkits(which you'll need to attack one of those offices) and great deal of instant Fun.

Also, shops, regardless of type, are a great source of wood. Smash the shelves.

I wish there was a way to take a bunch of survivors under my "protection" so I would have pack mules when I wanted to move to a new hideout.

Small update:

alpha 2.1 = less annoyance

For sure I added new features in alpha 2.1.
But more importantly for the players it will be much less annoying to play:

Use the mouse to look at the map and handle items, no more look/inventory modes.
You can disable the delay in animations.
You can control the amount of district simulation, from 0% to 100%, and it is set to very low by default - much less waiting when changing districts.
The game won't exit when you die anymore, just go back to the main menu.
Long Wait command, wait for 1 hour - no more spamming "Wait", also the long wait command interrupts when something important happens.
Fixed all reported bugs (and few more).

I wish the followers were smarter about what to pick up. I have a guy following with me and he is armed with a shovel. We found a bunch of dead soldiers, I looted a body armor and military weapons. There was plenty left for him too. He didn't take any, because his invetory is full of barricade material. Now he is starving too and refuses to pick up food and eat it. Refuses to trade for food too.

I prefer the shovel to guns myself.  Shovels last longer.

I'd like to see picking a name and sprite implemented soon, as well.  It hurts my immersion a bit to be playing as a black guy named Ulrich Smith, or a guy with giant frizzy pink hair named Carl.  I'd like to be me, you know?

Also, I can't find the update.  Where eez eet?
