Zombies bloody everywhere

I've got a couple rounds and another spare pistol, but I'm down to one health without any medkits or safety in sight.

And I'm playing Thriller in the background.  Feels good man.


Also, the sleep music is really nice.  That sleep moves at 1 turn every half-second is a bit less great.

Whee, got the new version, lot more intense than the last. I'm now shacked up in a shop, afraid to go outside with only 3 HP.

And oh yeah,

I can imagine the city deteriorating over-time and becoming overrun, causing you to retreat to the outskirts and build a base, and farm. All the while taking out the usual mob of zombies. Occasionally you'd have to go into the city and search for rubble and scrap that will supply your manufacturing.

It sounds like World War Z, and I LOVE that book.

You made me order both Max Brooks's books from amazon with this post. Though by the sound of that, I'll thoroughly enjoy them and I decided to order Whispered Worlds anyway, so I guess saved on postage.

Anyway, Fallout music is a great soundtrack for the game and the composer, Mark Morgan, put them out for free download a while ago.

I found a nice little shop that I could sleep in. All I need to do is move all the shelves covering the only door in and out of it, and there are numerous. I can contain plenty of stuff within. Now if only I can outlast in my little cave. Unfortunately, when the national guard arrived, I got too cocky and decided to make myself vulnerable, despite the fact I needed to eat and sleep. A zombified man was waiting for me in the front door and was made aware of my presence as I rushed to check out outside. Bad idea.

Big problem, I can't install the new version because the old version's still installed. But I can't uninstall the old version because it doesn't have an entry in my "Installed Programs" list.

I was doing pretty good until I decided to sleep and a ton of bikers raided my 'house'. I managed to kill 2 of them that had surrounded me with a shotgun, but I was killed during my escape.

What skill should I choose when starting a new character. Excluding random.

Doesn't work on vista for me, I updated the net framework upon installing but when I actualy try to install it, it gives me a message saying it requires microsoft.directX.direct3DX version 1.0.2911.0 installed in the GAC, and stops there.

Oh goddammit.  I survive being beset on every side by endless hordes, and then when I start barricading up a (n utterly destroyed) mansion to sleep in, I get offed by a single one of those red zombies with 25 hp, that some other idiot led in, who just happened to get 2 lucky 5-damage shots in in two attacks.
