8 Hours continuing to dig out the 3x3 rooms.
8 hours sleeping and eating/drinking double beer
4 hours continuing 3x3 rooms
4 hours keeping guard

Well its easy for my character to know as hes the only one here that has judge of intent here.

I like your ideas about tubers Nevyn, and will incorporate them into the game. I awlays pictured tubers as looking like Leeks, but i figure rudabagas make more sense as tubers eh?

Day5 The rains dies down today, and the blood gnats come back in full force. Urist hands out some oily fronds, their stink seems to keep the gnats away, it will last untill you get wet.

Urist/Org + downs some good beer, and brews up 30 units of swamp whiskey, it is of standard quality.

nanothnir furrows a farmplot into the earth just south of the wagons and nearly on the banks of the swamp. He also makes 20 more shoddy arrows.

Eral/Ukranian butchers a sloth, knowing what parts are good she keeps the waste to a minimum and finishes speedily. contributing 7 days of meat to the stocks. She corners Nirur in the shack and has her way with him. (10% chance of pregnancy) ewww

Nirur starts erecting a tower, groundspace is getting scarce so he builds it around the tents area. Digging is relatively easy in the mud, and completes the whole basement.

Ochita digs out more rooms HE FINDS TURQUISE IN HIS PATH AND HAS STRUCK A PATCH OF OBSIDIAN! he clears out 16 more squares and produces 18 rock and 2 turquoise semiprecious stones. He starts working a seconds shift but his copper pick strikes a stubborn rock and the copper pick bends!

I'll be sleeping in the basement until further notice. It should be the highest quality sleeping area we have right now, and we should all be able to fit, if only barely.

I meant you finished digging it out of the mud the walls are not up yet. ALso i am still not shure where you want the tower. I assume it is outside? or are you using the basement that was dug into the mountain?

Oh, I'll continue sleeping in the shack for a while then.

I'm using the basement that I had dug into the mountain, outside the entrance. Here's a rough diagram of where I want the towers to be, with the entrance at the top:

I am still confused. It is now clear to me you want to use  the same basement previously dug. but it put that basement inside the mountain, by outside the entrance do you mean outside but still dug into the mountain? or outside and away from the mountain?

I want it outside but still dug into the mountain. If the entrance is at ground level, then I'll have the towers above and behind it.

As a fortress name, I nominate Magma Sparkles, the Shiny Falcon of Weaponry.

8 hours - borrow docs pic and continue work on the home complex
2 hours - Resting with lunch
6 hours - continue work
4 hours - socialise with nirur and doc
4 hours - sleep
What the Hells! Bloody Pick! Doc im going to take your pickaxe, cant work with a bent pick. At least I found some gems and obsidian. *Later* Hey Nirur! Doc! I know ive been somewhat distant but i want to talk with you two and get to know you as a friend. I mean theres nothing wrong with that, is there?

Nirur- can you manage to carve some stone tools for engraving for me?

Probably. Do you need them before the basement is done? I'd rather finish that first.
