Nirur Torir had a crossbow, which he switched out for the better foot crossbow. I will equip that, 25 bolts, a copper axe, and a copper breastplate (There should be two in the stocks, since I made two and nobody is wearing them).

It seems that a bunch of stuff has just disappeared... I strongly doubt that the vermin enjoy snacking on crossbows and copper breastplates.

I KNEW i was missinga breastplate. but i didnt double check. Nirurs crossbow however was actualy somebody elses, he kept on continuously borrowing it from a inactive player so there is no extra crossbow. Sorry about the breastplate i really hurreid the inventories and hardly double checked them, i knew i added some stuff to people for the fight, like hceddarius having a breastplate when he got kicked, so i think you are wearing it, in any case ill add it after i sleep. Some stuff is also missing from the hospital for example but you guys dont know what happened to it. and, some tools got mooved to the workshops, but now that i think about it i dont think i wrote it in i should check that too, oh well i probably did it right.

DOH i dint put the other Cog in lol

oh and feel free to put equipment is peoples hands, they can  just drop it back in the stocks if they dont want it i dont want all the loadout confusion again, i dealt with it by ignoring it for a while last time.

Okay.

Some things seem to be missing from the stock room - one stone knife, and one obsidian greatsword, both taken from the dead goatmen but never equipped nor used.
With those changed, this is the current military stockpile:

Oh, all right. Edited.

Labs, Riversand, and Adwarf still need to submit turns. We need more patrollers, and someone should bring in the trapped puma.

Garul wakes up again, in the morning, and patrols throught the morning, occasionally chatting with the others, mostly he keeps post at the incomplete doorway, needing both doors for it to work.

Garul does mention this to Nirur Torir that he would very much appreciate a stone door sometime tomorrow, so that he can finish the outer gate, one that no kobold could get past.

in the mid-day Garul eats and sleeps, making sure to awaken in good time.

in the evening and through the night, Garul again keeps watch, planning to set up lights near the gates, for night-guards. He keeps his shield at the ready as well as his spear... sticking in the narrow gap of the wall, as a wall of muscle and metal.

shift 1
8 hours: patrol and occasional socializing.

shift 2
8 hours: eat,drink and sleep.

shift 3
8 hours: night time guard duty.

This is Dwarf Fortress! If we can chuck magma at innocent wildlife, we can do ANYTHING!

It was at this point that I realised that dwarves are actually the essence of chaos. What else can make perpetual motion machines, recursive statues with more building materials than the average tower and has such a short attention span that a damn fine chair can off-set the death of their entire family.

Day 39...

Cheddarius works steadily in the morning. Producing 3 rough thrones. Not as good a job as he is capable of but, they make sturdy seats still.
He coddles his wound, gathering food to test out his new eatin' table before his midday sleep. The rations are nibbled at voratiously in the dark. He feels warmth from the inside, soothing his wounded body. The warm and fuzzy feelings end too soon however, and he has to go get more food for a more filling meal. Ever the imperceptive one, Cheddarius passes some withered crops outside. He eats his fill finally and recovers significantly from his wounds during his sleep. Feeling quite a bit better, he plants during the night, the exceptional wind that night makes him cold. (-3 stone +3 thrones -1 extra food +1HP, - 7 units withered crops). His attention to the crops tells him they will mature in 4 days, at the end of day 42.

Kog works the glass, making fine manipulator after tiny instrument for the surgical kit. but the glass flows in his favor today, and with a little luck he finishes the work by nightfall, too bad nobody around is here to appreciate what triumph of crafsdwarfship this toolkit represents. he goes to bed afterwards. (+1 glass surgical toolkit 1000$)

Nirur walks into his workshop just as Cheddarius walks out. he focuses on quantity, crafting 8 chairs in one long sitting. His hands are are sore and tired. But the chairs that surround him now are all done. (-8 rock +8 thrones)

Cogs arms himself, and heads out of the fortress wall-opening. he looks to the left and to the right cautiously, Unknowingly approaching some devious feces covered spike traps set out in the mud. But Cogs mother taught him well, and his perceptive skills have him look before he steps in this case, and he notices the mud covered chicanery at his feet. "Those Kobolds!" he thinks. He kicks the foot-traps over and heads out ever more cautiously...

Garul is beside himself with surprise, he's kept his guard on that doorway for some time, and stood guard at its very base before too. Those traps must have been there quite a few days, its a wonder nobody has stepped on one yet. "There!, Right There!" He hears, it is revist, he has been out lying in wait for these blasted kobolds for over a day now. Revist points them out, the three of them up on the mountainsidea, He fires his crossbows from so far away, arcing the shot to land on their flea-bitten hides. But the kobolds know the jig is up and split. The scatter in several directions, and Cog, Garul and Revist give chase. Nobody can match the Gross Agility of the kobolds though, they dodge, vault and weave between the boulders on the mountainside and are able to get away, Even when dwarves are no slouches traveling over rocky ground.

Hrodegr gathers 2 of the wardogs with rope, and secures them outside by the tower. "Try to release these on those vermin, They should keep our outdoor toolsets safe at least, if they dont freeze to death at night that is." Hrodegr then tanns the wereskin and other random skins from small critters (-7 misc. animal parts, -1wereskin +7 leather +1wereleather)

Moods.

Everyone, remember to eat at the table! You'll probably get happiness or something, and maybe we'll find out its secret power.

We need (roughly in order of priority):
A stone table
A stone door
More patrolling
To kill those friggin' kobolds
Someone to haul in the puma outside
More clothes
More food and drink
More armor

Following changes:
Nirur Torir takes the sloth leather cloak.
Nirur Torir takes the warm fine fur hat.
Cheddarius takes a pair of overalls.
Adwarf takes a pair of overalls.
The Other Cog takes the decorated leather torso armor.
The Other Cog takes the rugged coat.
The Other Cog takes Revist's dwarf tent and puts it over his bed for further protection against the cold.

8 hours medical attention on wounded dwarves, starting with the most wounded and using my new medical tools.
8 hours hauling the puma in, then tame and release it. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES AM I TO BRING IN AN EMPTY PUMA CAGE, OR RELEASE A NOT-QUITE-TAME PUMA INTO THE DINING ROOM.
8 hours sleeping in the tower basement with the tent over my bed, and eating and drinking at the table if it's available
