I suppose you could spend an age setting that up at the start of the game, and then never, ever change your custom stockpile settings.  Seems tedious, though.

Yes, I know, the "custom settings" only affects new stockpiles you create, not existing ones.  However, you can't save or load them, so you've only got one set of current preferences for new stockpiles.  If you keep your custom settings for Refuse, you can't use that feature for anything else.

I also don't get how to filter out the useless stuff.  How does one make a stockpile for bone and shell and skulls, but not nervous tissue?
