So basically, poor people deserve to die of appendicitis?

You can't help everyone.

Aah, a die-hard capitalist, I see. You would also agree on scaling back our taxes to incredibly large degrees, right? After all, it's not necessary to pay taxes once the benefits are gone.

Incidentally, that's what taxes are. A public fund that everybody (even you!) gets to draw from when their moment of need arises. The only reason anybody is considered to have a right to this stuff is because everybody is paying in a substantial portion of their income to get it in the first place.

A public fund that everybody (even you!) gets to draw from when their moment of need arises. The only reason anybody is considered to have a right to this stuff is because everybody is paying in a substantial portion of their income to get it in the first place.

And here we see the crux of the problem. Everyone pays a substantal percentage of their income, while everyone gets the same level of help from it. For example, as a minor I do not pay taxes, but they benifit me nontheless. Thus, I take from the system while adding nothing. Unfortunately, the law is set up in such a way that I cannot avoid being a parasitic influence on the tax system, like with all other minors.

You're an idiot.

As a minor, you would still be paying income tax if you had a job, and you still buy things and pay sales tax. You're also a dependent of your parent or guardian, and when you get pancreatic cancer, it's them the tax dollars are helping out, not you, because the assumption is that nobody wants their child to die.

You're an idiot.

Perhaps I am. Never cared much for tax law. Its always been a subject that I could find no good solution to.

If you don't see how providing education to children helps the economy as a whole, you're beyond hope.

I never spoke on that subject. However, my personal experiences lead me to think that anything beyond the most basic education being manditory is a pointless exercise. Students on the whole, do not fucking care. They don't care about their future, or being a intelligent individual. They don't care about the long-term. What they care about is gossip, cellphones, and their fucking Facebook status. The very microculture of students in this generation is anti-intellectual, lazy, and hateful. They care about being "recognized" while doing nothing at all, for this is how they percive their celebrity icons. Almost none of them seem to care about learning anything besides the next meaningless corporate trend, and would leave school for good if given the chance. Anyone who deviates from this conglomerate of stupidity becomes a social outcast, causing this madness to become a learned behavior. In short: They. Are. Hopeless.

From this post I can deduce the following.

1) You're a teenager
2) You are rather lonely

You are correct on the first account, but not on the second. I am not, nor have I ever been, lonely. To be lonely implies that one seeks companionship, whereas I am sickened by the very idea of a social relationship with the kind of people who attend my school.
