Some tray icons are gone...
« on: June 01, 2010, 07:27:13 am »

This is wierd, I turned my computer on this morning and saw that both the volume control and my network connectivity icons in my system tray have disappeared.

While I still have an internet connection and my sound still works, I can't easily check the status of my crappy connection or change the volume. I don't have any idea what caused it, but I'm running a virus check to be sure.

... Yes, the hugs are for everyone.  No stabbing, though.  Just hugs.

For me, network icon sometimes just dissappear.

Go to control panel -> network -> de-activate and active internet connection tray icon.

Should work. For Windows XP at least :P

My laptop does that all the time, and I've yet to find the cause.

Probably gremlins. Vista gremlins.

Virus scan picked up nothing(and, when it finished, crashed DF, wasting almost 2 hours of work).

I also noticed in the Taskbar settings that the check marks for volume and network icons are not only unchecked, but disabled as well.

EDIT: Just as mysteriously as the problem came, it went away.
