Diary of Xugot Creamsoothe, 7th of Hematite
We’ve arrived in The Castle of Conjunctions. They must be fond of their grammar.
I’ve picked recruited a Pikeman by the name of Tohwot Stedarat. I can’t make much of him at the time. His red hair is constantly in his eyes. I suspect he and Buh will compete. Another warrior approached me, by the name of Kethi Kinraced, a Hammerman. She had a look in her eye. I could tell she had also been ravaged by wretched goblins. One of her cousins had been abducted. She also had an uncle, who was shot and killed. Both of these hateful acts committed by goblins. Her slain uncle and maternal grand father both fought in the same war against the goblins years ago, in the Complex Desert. Tears came to her eyes as she told me this. I feel sorry for the weeping woman. I told her her revenge shall be soon. Her eldest son was murdered, she told me later around the campfire. I think she’s taking a liking to me, telling me al this.
We’ve discovered more of these wild horses! It looks to be Durplush, or “Glovelivid.” I quickly out run the wild beast, and smash it’s lower body. It knocked me down, but failed to hurt me. I tried to stand, but my muscles failed, and I floundered on the grass for a few minutes. My friends rushed to my side, and attacked the horse. I try to stand again, but Mapo stops me, holding me down. I lie back as she hacks at the horse. A moment later she smacks the horse with the flat of her axe. sending it several feet, felling it. We cheered as I slowly got to my feet. My eye has been bothering me since those damn wolves took it out. Damn them. I take a few steps, and my legs give out again. Abba catches me, and gets me to my feet. She looked at my face and sternly said, “I’m helping you walk.” I grimace, and nod. Even with her help I collapse on the ground. I fear my days of adventuring are over.

We’ve stopped at the Complex Desert, outside of Balddread, that wretched fortress. Many battles took place here, and we’ve stopped to commemorate our loyal kin, and damn the traitors and wretches. We set up camp. I glanced at Abba, who was happily talking to Kethi about form and technique and how to kill things with hammers. I smiled.

We’ve stopped again in Relieved bar, after wandering around without interruption for a whole month. We were merrily drowning our sorrows, when a sad looking man stalked into the tavern and bought himself a drink. I stumbled over to him after he sat there for thirty minutes without touching his ale. “Hey buddy, what’s got ya so down?” I said, flinging an arm around his shoulders. Before he could respond, I shouted at the barmaid. “Another round of drinks for my friends!” My group cheered, Buh, throwing up the past few hours of my money. “I…” Came the reply of the down looking man.
“Oh come on!” I said. He told me how his eldest daughter was abducted by goblins. He apparently got letters from her, even though she lived with evil goblins, because he told me that she married a goblin not too long ago. I looked at him with disbelief. He told me about his wife. He told me about his daughters. he told me he had no reason to live, now that he had children, who were all married away to nice men. I asked him to join me. He smiled, and happily agreed. I told him he’d be leaving his wife, and he said that she was well past the age that she could do anything useful. She was just a farmer, content to live out her days sowing fields, while he was a robust Pikeman, wanting more out of life. Adventure. Riches. A warm bed with sterile women. I laughed and said, “Don’t we all,” and emptied my mug. He downed his in record time, and I bought him another. I hadn’t even learned his name.

The wilderness seems to be devoid of life. I wonder…
Diary of Xugot Creamsoothe, 16th of Hematite
We set up camp in the middle of a forest. Buh announced that he’ll stand watch, which is rather strange, because he never wants to do anything that doesn’t involve the death of goblins. Abba looked up as if it was… on queue. She dropped her handful of strawberries (we’d run out of meat, with so few animals to hunt), and announced that she would stand watch, too. She said it nervously, as if waiting for something. She smiled, stood up, and walked out of view. Buh headed in the other direction. I think something is going on between them.

We went around the inland sea, and were immediately set upon by a pack of wolves. I am almost glad to see them. I’m also glad to be back in combat. I have noticed that Enure hasn’t done anything since he joined us. I saw him stand right next to a wolf and not even lift a finger. I don’t like being around him.
Diary of Xugot Creamsoothe, 1st of Galena
Wolves. Abba looks at Buh and always smiles. I fear the worst. I’ve started to use an Two-Handed Sword, because I’ve noticed my trusty flail isn’t killing quick enough. I hope we can be reunited.
Diary of Xugot Creamsoothe, 3rd of Galena
A bear. Fine dining will be had, as my late friend Threbe taught me. May his soul find guidance.
Damn that girl! Abba! I’ve taken her in as if my own, and she’s gone and given herself away! Well, Buh is a good man, and I hope she finds peace with him on our travels.
Diary of Xugot Creamsoothe, 4th of Galena
Wolves. I’ve learned the use of swords. Whenever I hit, a limb flies off, to my satisfaction. I wonder where Quihu is right now, her soul floating among the stars.
Enure… he seems to give off an air of distrust.
Diary of Xugot Creamsoothe, 10th of Galena
Wolves. One of them bit Buh pretty badly, and he’s still bleeding as we sit around the campfire. Abba is frowning, stemming the blood flow. I know him well enough that this won’t kill him.

We’re out in the deserton a horse with no nameand a giant scorpion attackedit’s good to be out of the rainWe all circled it, not wanting to attack after I told them aboutdesrt you can remember your nameDas, and his experience. It lunged at me, and everyone broke rank, and piled in on it. I kill it in three blows with my sword, while everyone elsethere ain’t no one to give you no painstabbed and beat against it’s thick chitin.
Diary of Xugot Creamsoothe, 15th of Galena
Wolves. One knocked me into a pond, the little roach.
I don’t know why I recruited Enure.
Diary of Xugot Creamsoothe,16th of Galena
Wolves again. I hate them. I’ve noticed Enure acting strangely. He’s been leaving us at some time during the day, no one catching him leaving, as if he’s there one minute and gone the next. When we wake up the next morning, he’ll be there, sitting around the campfire, freeloading off of our hard earned kills. He doesn’t do anything at all, besides eat our food, and drink our drink, and share our glory. The damn elf.
We’ve arrived at Whirltips in the dead of night. Write more in the morning.
Diary of Xugot Creamsoothe, 17th of Galena
A try on my life has been made! This morning, I awoke with a deep gash across my neck! It failed to kill me, obviously, but someone wants me dead! I asked around town, and no one saw anything. I will find my would be assassin.
We left town, and were attacked by a giant leopard. I love their taste.
Diary of Xugot Creamsoothe, 26th of Galena
In the desert again. When I looked back at my other recent desert trip, I noticed something strange.
Another giant scorpion attacks, crawling out from a burrow from right under my feet! Before it can do anything, I lop off one of it’s legs. It lunges, and misses. I counter strike, and slice it in half. I’m dripping in scorpion ichor. Lovely.
Diary of Xugot Creamsoothe, 27th of Galena
This morning, I woke up to Enure standing over me, ready to plunge a rather large dagger that was tough to look at into my chest. I screamed an alarm, and he was knocked over. I stood up, and held my sword at his throat. “All shall bow down to the might of Stosbûb Oslollozu Lat Ngoso!” He shrieked. My nose and ears started to bleed. I took a look at the dagger he tried to kill me with. It was inscribed with all sorts of runes I didn’t want to look at. I faltered, taking a step back from all of this power coming from his words and the dagger. He stood up and shot me through the chest. I was flattened. Everyone looked up at him, and rushed him with an onslaught of flashing blades and boiling blood. When they were done with him, some of them sat down next to me, tending to my wound. I swear I saw Das. It was probably the heat. It’s with blood soaked hands that I write this. I’ve seemed to have stopped bleeding, though. I black out every few minutes, my chest alive with burning pain. I left his dagger in the sands of the desert, to be swallowed up by time and his false gods.
Diary of Xugot Creamsoothe, 1st of Limestone
My wound has healed nicely in the past few days. I can walk and fight, as I learned. We were assaulted by another scorpion. I swear, Das pointed where to strike the vile creature. I’ve been carrying Enure’s dead body. I’ll burn it as soon as possible.
Diary of Xugot Creamsoothe, 3rd of Limestone
I’ve found a spot to burn his wretched corpse. Das told me where to put it. He’s been guiding me through my days. We burned his corpse in silence for hours.
Das told me all along that he’d been bad. Das told me that Enure had been reading my diary.
Diary of Xugot Creamsoothe, 7th of Limestone
We’re staying in Matchedadmired for the night. Das said Quihu’s in a better place. Too tired to write.
I unofficially crown myself the king of fluff. That's all I do, for the most part.
