I have absolutely no idea what's going on in this fort any more. Migrants arrive, they die for some reason, the fort is flooded for another reason, then dwarves go mad, more dwarves die and I'm just laughing in my distress.

Are there any nearby road systems that people use for travel and/or trade between towns?

We could take Ed Boy's ambush idea and move it to one of the used road systems, catching straggling merchants caravans and travellers and adding them to our army, as well as looting their goods.

Yeah, we need some variety, since slow zombies are going to be at a disadvantage at times (like, say, when fighting against very fast enemies, like cavalry). Skeletons, spectres, and other types of undead would be useful.

Second of all, we should totally ascend to Lichdom. That way, we have a chance of surviving in case we ever get our asses handed to us (To the enemy: Good luck figuring out what our phylactery is!).

Thirdly: The above-mentioned caravan ambush idea sounds really good, as long as no one lives to tell the tale, everyone will assume it's bandits, not living dead. But they will probably send out caravan guards and the like eventually.

Our phylactery shall be... split into seven pieces!

1. A dragon's tooth
2. A wooden plank in the storage room of our tower
3. The portrait of Aku (signed by Mako himself) that hangs on our wall.
4. That bottle of water we've kept on a shelf for the last 6 months, but we never drank
5. THE SWOARD OF GRYFFINDOR derp
6. General Necrotis' bear's feeding dish
7. Bellybutton lint. ALL bellybutton lint.

2) Ehh... Wood has a tendency to burn. Couldn't we use a stone block or something?
