There was a disturbing lack of ridiculous costumes. There were some bad songs but no comically bad ones. Worse, most songs were actually decent, as pop songs go, and some were actually *good*. If it wasn't for Serbia, the show would've been a complete failure.

Basically, a remarkably unmemorable Eurovision, the only thing I'm likely to remember tomorrow is the Armenian chick's cleavage.

So, did anyone else watch it?

That performance didn't look appealing at all, the comments for Jimmy show he has a track record of this thing XD

My top 3 (1. Albania 2. Moldova 3. Iceland) are doing appallingly. And Israel is doing ridiculously well, considering their awfulness.

The German girl wasn't bad, but her accent was horrific.

It doesn't actually matter how you sing, it's all about block voting anyway. I liked Albania too, bur I guess they just don't have enough neighbours that like them.

Germany was okay I guess. I was rooting for Turkey myself, even if their entrant's name capitalization did hurt my brain.

And it's not ALL about block voting. If you are unambiguously better than everyone else, everyone will vote for you. Thing is, you have to be unambiguously better. Doesn't happen that often.

You'd've thought they'd've let in at least puff rock bands after Lordi.

There was an influx of rock the year after Lordi, IIRC, but Sturgeon's Law applied and since Eurovision songwriters have memories barely better than that of a goldfish they started copying whoever it was that won that year.
