Just had another go as the ice archer girl. Learned 2 things.
1) I hate playing as stupid squishy archers that can go down in 3 hits. That stupid guy with the spear just seemed to be able to tear through me like paper.
2) The more players in the game, the more chance people are going to be idiots and quit halfway through/go afk as soon as the match starts, etc...
Starting to get the hang of the equiptment and stuff, planning ahead to make sure ive got space to build the good items. I think I'm gonna try each of the heroes and then decide which one I like, though I've got a feeling it's gonna be someone smashy.
1) Don't let him anywhere near you, as Ashe it shouldn't be that difficult with all slows you have. Playing squishy characters can be hard, one wrong move, stun and you are dead. I recently started playing
tank and at first I had opposite problem, I was too cautious since I used to play casters all the time.
2) This happens but its really frequent only on lower levels (its funny thing but the better players the better manners) and in practice games where there is no penalty for leaving (though people like this should be reported even if it's just practice), when you "host" practice game you can somewhat circumvent this by kicking players with unusually high leave count (today I saw guy with 12 won,
10 left).
Here is a linky for all new players:
http://leaguecraft.com/There is a ton of guides there, though you shouldn't rely on them too much, there is also a lot of garbage in there so you should look at highly rated guides because these are actual guides with tips not just item build. Ah yes item builds. At first sticking to good build may be good but this isn't really effective in longer run. Instead you should learn what items are effective on your champion and then buy what you need at the moment (Fed Ryze? Buy magic resistance, getting armor because your item build dictates so in this situation is stupid).

That's very good idea. One word of advice here, as newbie in this game and also playing champion for first time you shouldn't expect to roflstomp (if this happens that's just because your opponents were even worse, though congrats to AussieGuy 15/1 isn't easy to pull off especially as newcomer), actually expect to feed badly. What you should pay attention to is skill set. Basically look for champions with skills you like and then learn to play with said champion. I made mistake and unlocked Karthus (very expensive) without trying him (because some Karths badly beaten me and his ulti looked like ton of fun
) just to be bored with him after 30+ games even though I had around 2.0 kill ratio and even more assists.
