How exactly does Brand lose a lane? I didn't know such a feat was possible.

He's extremely squishy.

The true question is how do you lose a lane with Mordekaiser. He's stealth OP right now because everyone thinks he sucks and most people play him wrong.

He's less squishy then most casters, actualy, if you build him right.

Uh, Morde's easy to play, but he's certainly not OP. He's good early game, aye, but he has zero CC, IE he's a tanky thing thats not really a tank, like urgot, except worse.

Anyway second game as malphite. Nasus left and kass was afk from level 1, got back, then afk'd again. We were 4vs5 for the majority of the game, and we would've won too, if kass lux hadn't fed mundo and mf so damn much.

Casters have access to great defensive items that synergy with Archangel's or build high raw AP.  It really annoys me, actually, how easy it is to build them tanky without sacrificing their damage output.  The only balancing factor is that there's a better selection of MR items than armor items.

There are 18 items that provide armor.

There are 14 items that provide MR.

And MR is also considerably more scarce in items then armor. No item in the game gives you more then 76 MR, while there are two items that give you 100 armor.

Just pulled armor items up on leaguecraft... I don't see where you got 18, unless you counted armor reduction or penetration items.

I didn't say larger selection anyway, I said better.  There are more items that provide a good amount MR + other stuff, where most armor items have either really low/mediocre armor or are nothing but armor.

Still more than MR items. And almost all give more Armor than MR items give MR. Very easy to exceed 300 armor. Hard to exceed 300 MR unless you are Rammus.


Anyway, back on topic:

I met a guy who has, from what I can see, a 9 win to 1 loss ratio. I shit you not. Every time I queue with him it's almost a guaranteed victory. And he plays a different champion every game. I don't know whether to be impressed or weirded out but it's great to have a queue partner who can practically assure you victory.

To be fair, Randuin's is terrible now.

Also, there's a lot more flat armor penetration (Hi thurr Youmuu's) than Flat MPen (Haunting Guise :I)

Yeah, Fiddles with an Abyssal and the dangerous choice of Sorc's Shoes can reduce 30 then penetrate 20. With a Haunting Guise, that's up to 70 out of the way.

He shouldn't have Sorc's Shoes anyway, though.

If Malady proc'ed on abilities, then I'd consider it equivalent to Black Cleaver. Luckily for us that isn't the case so Fiddlesticks can't run around with Malady. But don't forget his passive: innate magic reduction on every enemy around him.

Interestingly enough, when I play mages, the way I build depends on how well I'm doing. If I have lots of gold I build straight AP. If I'm getting owned I just buy magic pen instead. IMHO, magic pen items are a lot cheaper and do more than a halfway completed AP item. Usually doesn't help me win games though.... just prolongs losing games...

The guy I'm talking about is called Nastyness on EU. Now that I check, it appears he's actually lost a few games in the past few days. No more 90% win rate. Still haven't lost a game with him though.

Merc's Treads are the only boots you should buy at all, ever, in most cases.

Eh, a tank doesn't need CC to be effective.
Look at Garen for example. Squishies fear him regardless.
