After i finished off an elk bird with a silver spear by crushing its skull i looked to see another. i was only able to get in a quick jab at its foot before it was already 2 z levels above me. Quickly thinking i threw my spear at it, missing. but on my second try i got a stuck in, at first i was like "aw crap, is that thing gonna fly away with my spear?". Instead it plummeted to the earth and i was able to remove my spear and finish it off the same way i finished off its kin.

Traipsed across a mountain range, slaying goats and giant eagles and the odd yeti. No fast travel, either.

Then fast-travelled across a desert.
Attacked by three! giant desert scorpions.
Poisoned and collapsed.
Was shaken around by my EYE until I bled to death.
THREE!? I get murdered by one! THATSNOTMUNDANEATALLJESUSCHRIST!!!!

Still, that is an incredible tale of overkill.

That wasn't technically a miscarriage, but the doctors didn't have a concise term for "gave birth and immediately baptized the baby in liquid fire."
Dwarf Fortress: Killing people so you can draft their dogs into the army.

So I decided to train some of my hand to hand fighting skills...so I chose the closest animal around me, Horses.

I rushed 'em, chose one and started laying the smackdown at it.

Then it did something truly unexpected, especially for a horse...

Yup...it grabbed my kobold's thumb...with it's hoof. Quite a strong grip too. As you can see in the pic, my brain actually stopped in disbelief for a few turns. A roundhouse kick to the head was needed to wake me up...

Then it did it's second surprising move:

It threw me by the thumb to the ground. Yeah that's right...of all the Horses to fight there, I chose the one that knows kung-fu.

After breaking free, I decided to show it some of my own fighting moves as well...

After a while, I decided it was enough and continued my journey...I didn't finish it off to show respect to a worthy opponent. (Or it simply means that I really, really need more training -_-)

This isn't a regular battle but i once fought a regular giant i thought i was going to die the moment i got knocked unconcious but i survived and smote the giant however it survived every limb being red [including body] and a "broken" stomach, pancreas, heart, brain, right lung, left lung [It's brain was bruised cyan],upper spine and lower spine it suffocated even though it had been in the heavy bleeding state for about 56 turns but it had the last laugh because outside and inside its cave was booze, just booze but i forgot booze was flamamable so when i went to cremate the corpse I got destroyed by flaming clouds of booze.[i wanted to cremate it because it was worthy i was going to throw its ash into magma.]

Camels. Two-humped camels.

I sneaked into his back. It spotted me, but too late. I flanged his lower body with my *Copper Mace*. It didn't hit hard enough to knock the animal down. I followed the camel when it ran. T'was a bad choice, because he came charging at me as I get near. I'm suppressed and he's above me. It kicked me many times, but my *Copper Mail* did its purpose well enough. I managed to step away and stand, then hit the camel in the head, then it died.

I never knew I would fight such mundane animal that long.
