Just encountered a terrible problem in multiplayer.

Disconnects result in a draw, no matter what.

Needless to say, when you gain exp for winning or losing, oddly not draws, this becomes a very big problem. As well as when clans want to obtain land legitimately.

I'm pretty sure I've had xp from a disconnected game the same way as from a loss. However have you noticed short games don't provide any reward at all win or loss? maybe its whatever causes that.

Multiplayer basically doesn't work right now. Heck, be glad you can at least play multiplayer. It doesn't work for me at all. :P

On another note, has anyone seen how powerful those Nanban trade ships are? :P I read the description and was like "caravels? Bleh, if this is anything like Empire, this would be a tiny, pathetic ship with a few guns... Well, I should at least get some before I destroy this Nanban Quarter. I wonder why I didn't see this ship in custom match settings..."

The first indication of how wrong I was came from when I took four of the trade ships to fight a fully stacked, all heavy bune Mori fleet. Autoresolve told me the fight was WAAAAAAAAAY in my favor. And then when I went into the battle... oh ho ho ho... ho ho ho... ho ho ho ho ho ho ho...

Even though each caravel only has 10 guns, the fight was basically four of these:

VS 10 of these (with bows and arrows):

Oh man... Seeing how huge the caravels were in comparison to the Japanese ships made me revise how massive the European ships of the line must have been.

Massive is the right word, the HMS Victory (WARNING: Large image!) is as big as a medium-sized building (not counting the masts)!

To actually be on topic: I'll probably be getting this for the weekend, I'm already looking forward to it and all the praise in this thread doesn't exactly help.  ;D

Oh yeah, I remember seeing those in the naval tutorial. My first thought was, "only 10 guns?".  :-\

My second thought was, "Oh, hey, that heavy bune was just routed by a single broadside."  :o

Edit: Holy crap. If you press insert, the camera will jump into the eyes of one of the men inside the currently selected unit fps mode. Too bad you can't manually control him but you get to see the amazing graphical detail.

Wait, what? Could you maybe take a few pics in this mode? That sounds great!

I have taken over a few provinces that were mainly christian with Nanban ports, but the damn people hate me. How do you deal with religion? Currently i just put a huge boot on their head with garrisoned troops. I tried placing temples and monasteries but it doesn't seem to help and one of my captured towns is still 100% christian.

I want the guns and ships, but the revolts and army upkeep is kinda tough to deal with, advice?

Just chuck every monk you have in there. Also, pansy poetic generals can get a bonus to religious conversion rates.
But yeah, Nanban ports are great and all, but you really need to put a lot of effort into keeping the province happy.

Oh, I assume you realise, but you can mouse-over the religion block on a town to see what the conversion rates are.

Or, provided everyone hates you already (by way of realm divide, or just to much expansion), consider just converting. Christians get cannons, and an extra achievement. There is a two-point honour penalty, though.

I've still not quite worked out what realm divide actually means.  Anyone care to enlighten me?

I have conmsidered converting completely, but what will that do to my 100% buddhist provinces i started with?
