Europa Barbarorum proved that you don't need to have pretend units to have a fun game.

If your just gonna say fuck realism; why don't you just give your knights AK-47s and be done with it?

I said fuck realism, not fuck balance. That's why.

I've never even played Europa Barbarorum, I don't know where to find it and I've never played a mod in the first place.

I wasn't asking for it,I was useing it to point out the argument makes no effect on me for not playing it, but thank you anyway even if you did misunderstand.

I haven't played it becouse I only recently got RTW, I only had M2TW before, and I've never used a mod in my life period. I'm paranoid about downloading stuff when the few things I've ever downloaded tend to fuck up my computers, even with up to date virus protection. I never said I wouldn't use it, I said I have not so the comment had no barrings in my mind.

I've played EB. It was overly complicated to install and wasn't worth the effort. I much preferred vanilla R:TW.

The main install wasn't that hard IIRC. Just point at the folder and install. Then you run the shortcut and the game boots itself. The only thing you have to do is "initiate" the script by clicking on the advisor, but the game prompts you to do that one you start a campaign. EB is the only thing that makes me come back to RTW. It's hard, but so much deeper than vanilla.

As for the topic: Brand new video showing campaign footage.

Not when I played it. It involved installing no less than 3 separate components, 1 of which I couldn't change the install directory.

I never got around to trying EB. I'd go back to R:TW to try it but I've got other stuff to be doing.

Eh, I wasn't a fan of Shogun 1. I don't see this being much better. I love unit variety and Japan doesn't really have that.

I was really hoping for a China: Total War. Dynasties, exotic troops, chariots, great wall, Mongols, lots of feudalism and vassals. It sounds like an era with some potential. Not to mention that China's a huge market if they can get it through the censors.

China bans depictions of China where any part of their current territory is depicted as independent. They're still butthurt over Taiwan leaving them.
