I've never actually played a succession game, but I'm a fan of Deon's Genesis mod so I'll throw my hat in if you'd take a succession noob.

The games actually turn out a lot more fun if there are wildly different levels of experience, in my opinion.

Cool! Looking forward to it. I've read a lot of epic DF tales, but I've always wanted to be part of one.

As for my starting dwarf..

Name: Blue
Caste: Jade or Ice
Profession: Carpenter/Mechanic
Skills: Carpenter +5, Mechanic +5
I'll leave the rest of my points for the others.

I will take a dwarf and tentatively a turn.

Destat McDwarf
Profession: Broker/RecordKeeper/Manager
Skills
Appraisal 3
Negotiator 3
Record Keeper 2
Weapon Smith 1
Skill point cost:  18+18+11+5=52

Items
Tower cap log 1 (3)
Booze 20 (40)
Favorite food x 10 whatever it is
Item point cost:  43+10xfood cost
Total Cost: 95+10xfood cost

As for species I would prefer Jade Dwarf but any would work.

Yes, and I have gone ahead and put you on the list of players.

So there are five people signed up for turns, and 6 signed up for starting dwarves.  Regardless of whether someone claims a dwarf, I'm starting this weekend.

The detailed dwarf/item list is in the first thread, but here is a summary:

Weaponsmith 5/Armorsmith 2/Blacksmith 3
Miner 5
Brewer 5/Grower 5
Axedwarf 5/Other military skill 5
Carpenter 5/Mechanic 5
Appraiser 3/Negotiator 3/Record Keeper 2/Weaponsmith 1

1 anvil
55 drink
50 meat
Cassiterite 8
Tetrahedrite 8
Tower cap log 2
Bitouminous coal 10
Bauxite 3
Bismuthinite 8
1 pick
1 axe
some seeds

Any points that are undesignated are probably going towards dogs/cave tortoises/etc.

Awesome!  We've got the starting seven!

I'm going to be trying to generate a set of dwarves that includes 2 jade, 1 aspid, and 1 steel, as those were requested.  However, I've tried about 50 sets so far, and I'm mostly getting moss and mushroom dwarves.  Only 1 steel dwarf so far, so that probably won't happen.  I'm thinking a high physical stat moss dwarf would be a good replacement.

I'd take an ice dwarf instead of jade, if necessary. Also, I notice that we will be starting without a mason. Sounds like Fun.
