I had a caravan from another dwarvin empire come to my fort recently and with them they brought
a speardwarf as a diplomat however the second he walked onto the map he fell over dead for no reason
there was no fighting and the rest of the caravan was fine but he just died is there any particular reason why

Usually that means one of two things...
     a) Death by old age
     b) Death by worldgen injuries

It happens.  If it wasn't your civ, they might attack you.
