Having a dwarf drown in magma on embark is a good omen.  Sign me up for an immigrant.

Bagsy the first peasant. Call him Drake, give him a bedroom occupied by statues and train him as a carpenter/mason.

And again, all added. Would you guys rather I make comments on the game by the leading dwarf's perspective or as a player?

Leading dwarf sounds best.  You'll go insane if we make it to dozens of dwarves.

Speaking of which, you might want to add a population limit.  Practically speaking, you will not get 100+ forum members for this.

Lower the better.  You don't get much without 50 dwarves, though, so prolly that.  The other option is 80 if you want seiges.  Alternatively... you could assign people several dwarves?

Dwarf, if you translate harford's normal speak into the dialect of your choosing, Ill be happy to make it the "Official" voice of the good Dr.

Idea also recognized.
100 dwarf cap, allowing users to control a maximum of three dwarves each. Have "fun"!

Posting progress in a few minutes again.

Log - Year 150 - Dr. Harford
This has been tedious work, but Kipi has been keeping me sane. He does extraordinary work, actually. We have successfully dug into the caldera. Evil also has been helping construct a grand staircase. Evidently, safety isn't part of his motto. The resident cats also have decided to cling to a few of my brethren - poor souls. It seems only I know the dangers of bonding with such a demonic being. Which brings me to question Urist's decision to bring 5 of them. I fear he has been possessed by them. I will have to deal with that later.

Eden. Bartender found Eden. On the very top of the volcano lay a flatland filled with shrubs and trees, along with some of the local wildlife. I will harvest all of it. We've been busy stashing away our food into the newly-dug storage area, but I fear it is a bit too unprotected. I've had shakespear guarding the stash from those petty monkeys and the occasional glutton.

Dr. Remor has been scaring me. Very, very badly. He has led our only horse to a volcanic beach. I went down to make sure he hadn't gone mad already. The steam from inside the molten crust turned him red; he looked like a madman. Being no fool, I ran back to our fortress. I fear I may not see that horse again.

Did you intentionally design your fort to look like a face with two big eyes with pupils that make him look nuts and a giant O mouth and a horned helm, or was that a total coincidence?
