The Thrower skill and the Strength attribute probably have something to do with the feriocity you throw an object.

You can train Throwing by repeatedly picking up rocks or sand off the ground and throwing it down in the same tile.

You can make this easy by changing the keyset and setting the keys for Throw and Enter (confirm) to a letter like I or whatever in your inventory so they are the same key.

Then just push down the I key untill you are legendary.

But, when i try to throw an wolf oder some other enemies my Throwing skill doesn't go up.

they are in sky for just 1 second and landing on the same area where i start to throw them.

Furthermore i try to throw them with a very high skill of throwing but the same happens

I think throwing only knocks enemies down without moving them right now. I'm not sure though. That's the way it was in the previous version and I don't think it was changed for df2010.

By the way, your English is very understandable. The only bad mistake is saying "oder" instead of "or". I hope that helps.

You sure, I've had a giant throw me quite a few tiles away into a tree where I exploded before. Never done it myself though.

I think throwing works but I dont know how.

A few days ago i throw a creature against a wall (don't know what creature it was) but this character died against a bronze colossus -.-
so I wasn't able to show his skills again.

And

Erm, when the game says something like "You throw The Elf by the upper body with Your right upper arm!" the "throw" its talking about, is just you simply violently force the enemy to the ground. Like this...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L8tVrQ2FWg8&feature=related

You can't pick up and throw a living enemy away from you. You can toss dead bodies of your enemies, or anything else you can pick up and put into your backpack, but you can't pick up and sling an enemy you are fighting through the air. Although, that would be awesome.

Though Dwarves can do this... I've seen Legendary Wrestlers pick up horses & Unicorns and throw them, then pick up the Elf riding them and throw him.

WHY DID YOU HAVE ME KICK THEM WTF I DID NOT WANT TO BE SHOT AT.
I dunno, you guys have survived Thomas the tank engine, golems, zombies, nuclear explosions, laser whales, and being on the same team as ragnarock.  I don't think something as tame as a world ending rain of lava will even slow you guys down.

Wrestlers also punch enemies, and they often have an item they wrestled off in their hand, or a sheild which they'll use to bash the enemy which can send them flying like hammers do.

If they are in fact, picking them up off the ground and hurling them through the air, there does'nt seem to be any possible way to do this in adventure mode.

I think you have to be significantly bigger in size to throw them around like a doll.  From my experiments in arena mode, a bronze colossi could easily throw a human sized sentient being across the room and make it explode when it hit a wall.  A dwarf would take similarly sized things and just do a take down when I told him to  do a wrestling throw.

You need to make said elf leather into the most amazing work of art.  Embed it with every kind of gem you have, stud it with metals, and sew images into it.  Erect a shrine outside your fort with that in the center.  Let the elves know that you view their very skin as naught more but a medium for your dwarves to work on.

Yep, I just tried it out and I could indeed throw a goblin across the arena with a BC. I've been testing it out on elves in advent mode prior to that and never got any airtime.

Well thats neat. I guess if a BC can do that, a typical adventurer could probably put some serious airtime on a hoary marmot or something like that.

Yeah, the "throw" that exists right now is a wrestling move- you flip them to the ground, not literally pick up and throw them. It is not connected to the throwing skill, which is for projectiles (I can understand you being confused since you can throw entire corpses this way by putting them in your inventory).

You *can*, however, use said "throw" wrestling move to bodily fling enemies, but it depends strongly on strength, Wrestling skill, and especially size differences.  A human adventurer can toss a raccoon a couple of tiles, for example, and bronze colossi can throw must human-sized objects quite easily.

Miscellaneous Object User also works well for punting people.  Pick up something with a bit of heft to it- about the size of a cow corpse  or larger, and swing away.  Just don't pick up something so insanely big it slows you down.  This will also work better as your skill goes up.

Trying to "throw" an enemy too close to your own size will result in you "taking down" said enemy (the judo-throw style knockdown).
