24 is ending
« on: May 24, 2010, 07:10:10 pm »

Haven't really been keeping up since the end of season 5 or 6, unfortunately, so I'm a bit out of the loop. It looks like Jack is in big trouble, and it's pretty epic. The fact that they're planning a feature film after this kind of removes the suspense, though.

Okay, so, today this girl I know-Lauren, just took a sudden dis-interest in talking to me. Is she just on her period or something?

Maybe he will die and it'll be Scully and the replacement Jack for the rest of the series.

But it can't be 24 without Jack Bauer!

I've watched most of this season, not much of the others, however.I liked the last episode when jack was actually wearing some suitable body armor for the occasion.
Overall,a pretty decent TV series,in my opinion.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Was it stab-proof armor? Just because it's anti-bullet armor doesn't mean it's anti-knife. Seems counterintuitive, but the bullet resistance of Kevlar is like this black magic cave spider silk thing.

He just got his hostage to suture him up, so he'll probably be okay.

Chloe just shot him, so chances are high that he lives.

The final episode doesn't air for me for another 2 hours.I figured Chloe would do as much from the preview, though.

After watching that, it renders the rest of 24 too hillarious to watch. Especially since 20 years from now that is what 24 will seem like to us.

Eh,I'm hardly concerned.Non-sarcastically, I completely forgot for a moment that there are people that live in different time zones.

Well,I just finished watching the end of 24.My thoughts:

I think it ended as well as it could have while setting up for the movie.
The acting felt on par with a movie,And i genuinely enjoyed it.The good guys came through in the end,And that's something everyone likes to see.
I could say more and add specifics, but I'm no reviewer, nor will i try my hand at it.

I didn't like it that much. There were one or two major plots moment that affected the whole series (the kind of moments a series finale should have), but it was just warming us up for the movie all the way.

The movie better be awesome. And have some seriously great action scenes. That's what I always felt was missing from 24. An action scene actually worth watching. Every time it looks like something great is going to happen, Jack kills everybody in under 15 seconds and leaves. Also, any scene involving airplanes always takes place on a radar screen, which is vastly amusing to me.

What, you don't like their old school CGI?
