Zombie Plague

if you go into an area with zombie's you have a chance when fighting them to get infected with the zombie virus (more so if you are not wear metal armor and you were bitten ). The virus itself wont show its real symptoms until a month later. These symptoms may include:
Had a happy though about eating raw meat recently.
Craving raw meat/dwarf flesh/dwarf brain.
No longer feeling tired.

A high enough level diagnostician (5?) who checks your dwarf out will be able to see if they have the virus before these symptoms are shown, allowing you to dispose of the poor dwarf.. if wanted..

If your unable to locate the dwarf or notice these symptoms, you basically find out the hard way... with multiple new affected dwarfs with the plague. leading to multiple virus spread dwarfs before they can take there comrade down. Any dwarf who is found to have the virus will be attackable by your army.


You may also allow your population be infected.. with some interesting results..


1) Your dwarfs will no longer tire! unless they dont receive dwarf/human/elf flesh.

2) A single corpse will provide enough flesh to feed 50 dwarfs for 3 months.. and since your now a zombie civilization your dwarfs will send small armies to try to stop you.. and now the only way to gain bigger population is to infect new dwarfs, by catching them making them prisoner and biting them.. and letting them set in a jail until they turn.

Of course this idea can be expanded on :)

 

Edit: I may not of understood the game.. but i think this is still a cool idea for a mod :P

I was thinking more along the lines of this legendary champion, all clad in dented and dinged up steel plate, his blood-drenched axe slung over his back, a notch in the handle for every enemy that saw the swing of that blade as the last sight they ever saw, a battered shield strapped over his arm... and a fluffy, pink stuffed hippo hidden discretely in his breastplate.

This WILL be a cool idea when we will have more ways to affect syndromes. Right now I will just come up with some zombie thing.

Giant platypus sounds awesome :P.

I would very much like dragons to be breedable/trainable as war animals, and be taken at embark as pets.

Dragon sized platypuses with wings that breathes happyness, lightning, fire and blood. and they has acid blood, a fart attack, 2 heads and 6 legs and 2 arms can be tamed and milked. throws eggs and shoots webs and make them have no hair on its body except facial hair and make them have the skin and hair of goblins. Give them spurs on their hind legs and have the males venomous like a actual platypus.

Also give them roller skates which they can attack with doing gore damage and a clown nose on one head which they can attack with doing 0 blunt damage and give the other head two tusks and horns being able to do damage with them.

Disregard anything which can't be done. But as far as I know you can do pretty much anything in 0.31.

Make these creatures a civilization that sieges like goblins but uses elven language files.

No, but trainable and breeding dragons are easy to make.

I will have an exam tomorrow and make 0.1 ;). Jello out of hooves should be possible, I will try it.

Easy to make. I already have a dungeon keeper noble in Genesis whom you can appoint by yourself, so I will just take that.

how about plants that  eat people/animals? they could be butcherable...
