Damn werehyenas. I also feel this way towards tanned guys with straight, shoulder-length blonde hair. That one's a lot more specific, but fills me with a similar rage.

A general rule is your hair should be darker than your skin, so if you want to tan, don't dye your hair blonde (or carrot colored in that silly case)

They're just dumb teenagers. It's pretty irrelevant to us. No need to be angry. No need to hate. Just chillax.

Though, making fun of them is fine. After all, the unofficial leader believes that everybody has a little bit of something else mixed in them. Why he believes this is uncertain. He was probably howling during biology class. Or sex ed class. His blonde friend is definitely a worthwhile teen date, though. If I was 14 or 15 and liked wolves I'd probably do it. She's probably the Alpha Female. I wonder how their mating rituals work. Are they like perceived normal teenagers, or do they do some sort of Wolf-like ritual. If the Alpha Female is dating somebody, can somebody else kick his ass and take her hand? That would have made my life so much easier on so many occasions as a teen. I can get behind this.

I noticed there is an 'Alpha Male' and an 'Unofficial Leader'. This interests me. Do you think they're at odds? The Alpha Male is clearly the villain of the novel, because he kills other wolves and keeps their heads as trophies. However, in Julie and the Wolves, the upstart who tried to challenge the Alpha Male just got owned and shunned until he died of starvation. I would like to see a follow-up to this story, this is better than anything on TV other than Freaks and Geeks and the Office.

The trick is convincing everyone that you're filthy and harbor various diseases and ... oh. Yeah, it's not much of a stretch for these fine young folks.

Scary thing is, these kids will grow up and some will shed their terrible exterior, cicada-like, and join regular society. And you won't know who they are.

They could be your doctors, your lawyers, your politicians.
