Goals, eh?

Memorise the parity algorithms for a 4x4x4 Rubiks cube. I can already do the 5x5x5 though which is much simpler (No parity errors!) so I keep putting off learning the 4x4x4. Especially since I can just keep rescrambling until I get one without any parity errors.

Jump to 3-kyu in the November kendo test.  Only problem with this is that I hear guys don't like chicks who can beat them up    Practicing kendo at that level involves a rather large amount of dense muscle (plus enough stamina to run around stabbing things and screaming for three hours straight).  Oh, well.  *stabbity*

That sounds undeniably awesome. I think maybe you wouldn't want to be with the kind of dude who has insecurity issues and has to be stronger than you?

I don't know about kendo, but in karate the shout comes just as you strike / block / move / whatever. It helps with the timing to match the change in stance and other body motions, and expels air so you're not a balloon if you get hit, and helps remind you to breathe regularly, and tightens your muscles for the motion you're doing, and scares your opponent at just the right moment, etc. It's not much of a warning, unless your face changes right before the shout.

I've got exams coming up. If I can do good enough, I'll be studying maths at oxford university.

My goals for the summer:
1. Stop watching LeoLeonardoIII's avatar. Seriously, that thing is addictive. I just can't stop staring at it.

2. Finish Frank D Luna's Intro to 3D game programming with Directx9. Then make a simple game engine with the acquired knowledge

3. Start and finish "Programming vertex and pixel shaders" by Wolfgang Engel.

4. Learn more AI programming algorithms.

Longer term goals:
1. Get through RIT, teaching myself more as I go

2. Help in some way to bring about the Technological Singularity. Or at the very least live long enough to see it.
