For those who don't know, Battleships Forever is a RTS game featuring spaceships made from individually destructable pieces, surrounding a core piece which, if destroyed, destroys the entire ship. It comes with a custom ship-making program. I've built a set of ships inspired by Final Fantasy VIII's Guardian Forces.

Alexander

Has heavy firepower that covers a wide area, along two repair devices.

Bahamut

Just massive, massive firepower.

Brothers

I think messed up a bit here. Aside from some crazy movement physics, one side protects the other.

Carbuncle

Carries a lot of interceptor turrets, but nothing directly offensive.

Cactuar

Small, fast, easily killed, but shoots a lot of small shots in a short time.

Cerberus

Powerful. The tail section has booster modules which power it's main weapons.

Diablos

Has Tacyon weapons and can teleport.

Eden

Hard to kill. Damage per second is a low, but can pour out damage over time. (Eternal Breath took a long goddamn time, too)

Ifrit

Heavy fighter. Weak individually, but powerfull in numbers.

Panomonium

Long range attacks. Dronespam, missilespam.

Quezacotl

Light fighter, very weak on its own. Has a Frosch Gun, for zapping ships.

Shiva

Another light fighter, specializing with close-range beams.

Siren

Essentially a lighter version of the Pandomonium, with a repair module.

Tonberry

Hard to kill, except from the front, which is very hard to kill.

Anyone else make any ships or sets?

No kidding, luckily if they pull that level of crap they will be gone in no time flat. Toady and Threetoe won't put up with any of that behavior.

Yeah. The first (and last) time I ever posted on that forum was asking if they new a fix for a compatability error that I was getting. Normally you would expect some polite help or at least people to be civil. I even had the details and everything in the post. What happens? An admin shows up a goes on tangent, insulting me and cursing like crazy. Suffice to say I never went back.

Worst thing is that they don't even actually CARE about the game itself, just ship design. Its all about how artsy they think something is or should be instead of actually playing the game.

Best of all is that they have a "hall of shame" where they post all of their biggest rampages like trophies.

From what I remember, that happened fairly rarely.  That is, it happened in every fight that it lost, but occurred late after significant damage, due to the angle of attack needed to target that one section (ships rarely faced each other from the sides).

The huge one ("Barge") actually had bigger issues in that regard because it was so huge.  It had to fly in closer so that it's "core" was within range of its target.

I wonder, has anyone ever successfully made the Vindicator from Starcon II? Or any other ship from the series?
