Hmmm you can use the first version with leather tissues for now. Attempts to get use body detail plan didnt work out either, ill try and get the leather thing to work with the the other castes for a later version. Not sure about that name though... seems a bit unfitting the rest of the game.

Also, twohanded weapons are fully functional now, except that worldgen characters stubbornly keep carrying both a shield and twohanded weapon. I modded in a number of polearms with the pike skill and those work quite fine.

I make Grimlocke's History & Realism Mods. Its got poleaxes, sturdy joints and bloomeries. Now compatible with DF Revised!

Anyway. Screw Quetzie. Releasing first version. Debugged everything else I needed.

Lavabloom wheat grows in lava. Supposely. You need to find a lava lake and drain it out. Because I have no way to test it out, I'm not sure they're actually there. The file's giving no error, so I think they do. While able to thrive in magma, they are relatively cool to the touch, edible, and can be brewed into alchol. A naturally self-burning drink.

Mithril is currently a metal stronger lighter than steel, with less edge. Its found in igneous and terrains, and appears as very, very rare veins. (Frequency: 1) There is also Mithril Trees (Silvery wood) and Cotton, equally as rare.

Gelatinous Cubes are considered Semi-Megabeast in this expansion. Deon is supposed to rebalance them.
The Tarrasque was made a Megabeast, and might attack if your fortress is doing very well.
Quetzolcoalts will have to wait till next release.
Everything else made it without problems.

Welcome to the Underdark

Edit: Apparently you can't go fortress mode with one of the underworld civs. Because they can't reach the surface.

I saw him in there in the veggies section.

Oh, and an immigrant hunter showed up with 30 mithril bolts, so that was a free 6k dwarfbucks on my first migrant wave. Maybe that should be fixed? Or do you think it was just an extremely rare fluke?

If there's a restricted tag beside [DEEP_SPECIAL] I will add it. Beside that I don't think I can be of much help. It just means your home civilization has found mithril.

I'd try this if I wasn't using 40d still.

I had the idea of a neutral draconian civ, but not sure whether you'd think it would fit.

Also, minor nitpicky detail: You've been spelling Quetzacoatl wrong the entire thread. the L comes AFTER the second T, not before. I'd also call it a Necrowyrm, or Necrowyvern, seeing as Quetzacoatls are typacly living creatures. Wyrmlich? Wyvernlich? Iunno, just not Quetzacoatl... (But you already have the raws made with Quetzacoalt as all the creature names so...)

Yeah, they found mithril. They showed up with all sorts of mithril armor. Might have to buy some the next time they show up. All the veggies work very well and showed up in the caravan, haven't tested the magma plant yet. What kind of area would I have to flood with magma and for how long?

Wouldn't you also have to flood a drained magma ocean to get plants to grow there?

This. The seeds re activated by magma, but require water (mud) to grow ;)

You can't drain an ocean. You'll burn before you'll ever get the chance XD.

Actually I think the seeds can grow on any muddied farm. You just need a magma lake for them to spawn.

Now pondering the effects on the parent civilization when you ask for lavabloom wheat.

Plants have the tags [WET] and [DRY], remove the [WET] and hopefully you won't need to have muddied magma-sea floors for the lava pods to spawn in.

I thought dry meant that they could grow in dry soil. Not that they could grow in rock.
